[Miswording] Change to Domestic Admirals Club access for oneworld elite [No change]

Reading more into it and reading OneMileatatime blog, I am wondering whether passengers are using their oneworld status on one airline to access the lounge but crediting the points to American Airlines. Not that anyone should be doing that.

I hope the change doesn't affect Qantas Club members but looks like there is some tightening of the rules.

Why should people not be doing it? The GDS specifically has fields for FQTV and FQTS, so you can use two different FF numbers in your reservation; one for earning benefits, and one for status benefits? In fact, the *only* Airline staff i've ever found who know how to do this successfully are the AAngels at the T4 LAX A/C!

Apparently this has been clarified (at least for BA elites) according to Flyertalk. The wording probably could have stated "as well" instead of "and"

Oh my gosh, this is all complicated, doing my head in :shock: Maybe that's due to the head cold I'm just recovering from... I always used to enjoy time in the AA lounges before flying domestically. That's the main reason for going on AA- cheap online fares, full Platinum benefits. Sounds like you'd still get in as a QF Platinum but I'm scared now- very keen to hear about some 1st hand experiences, just for some piece of mind!

Before mrsdrron became WP I was certainly guilty.Credited all flights to AA and flashed my QP card to access ACs.

Sorry the as well as is to make it clear to AA elites they can't use their associated 1W status basically staying exactly the same as present.

The BA rep on that forum apparently clarified plus 1W elites stated they had zero problems with access.

So it seems just extremely poor writing on the website, I know that never happens

From my scouring of FT this was initially raised on the 2nd of July on a different thread to the OW and BAEC threads.

I was never worried about access to the Admirals Club, as a Qantas Platinum or Gold we're also Qantas Club members and therefore have access through a separate agreement anyway.

However, does anyone know if the Flagship lounge access has been clarified. The site (Flagship Lounge(R) / Arrivals Lounge) states:

oneworld Emerald customers** when departing on or connecting to any oneworld marketed and operated flight, regardless of cabin flown. Access is valid on a same day itinerary that includes an international* qualifying segment

The "**" mentions AAdvantage, but it doesn't clarify access for other OWEs.
