Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

My award flights via the ME on Qatar (Virgin) were cancelled six weeks ago. Same with my connecting QF flight from MEL to CGK. I paid the fees on a credit card which is no longer active. The bank claims nothing has been refunded to my account. Has anyone else found that refunds are taking an extra long time? Should I follow up with QF and VA or give it more time? (Or is it just that Virgin Money are painful in this regard?)

I cacelled a QF rewards fight a week or so ago. Points were refunded inside 2 hours and fees within about two days.

About three weeks ago I cancelled a QR revenue booking that included a sector as a QR codeshare on a VA wetlease. Refunded within 2-3 days, despite the initial response saying it could be substantially longer.

Strange anomaly with a QR cancellation not offering a fee free refund.

We have an up coming (July) trip to Europe booked on QR, and fortunately we also have a Plan B on CX.

One of the QR sectors home was cancelled (IB codeshare) and we’ve been automatically placed on the QR operated flight (same timing).

The email notice about the change mentions the options to accept, change flights or cancel. We assumed it would be free cancellation but when clicking through, its showing a refund amount that’s the total fare less cancellation fee (as per the fare rules).

Does that sound right/wrong?

We still have the option to cancel to voucher with no fee.
