Okay well by way of follow up, the Qantas team on Twitter are legendary. They've sorted this for me and the points are now posted.

Just a query - does the amounts look correct to you for Z class Business seats:

17 JUL 13MH 125 DISCOUNT ECONOMY 10JUL13 KUALA LUMPUR/PERTH1,950--1,950100
17 JUL 13MH 021 DISCOUNT ECONOMY 09JUL13 PARIS/KUALA LUMPUR4,873--4,873160

It says discount economy rather than Business?

This is without boarding pass? They wouldnt do anything for me unless I get a confirmation letter.

Oh sorry I should mention after an extensive search I found my boarding passes :)

My dad managed to get his with a baggage receipt.

He made silver in points but not in eligible segments flown!

It seems like this is a MH issue rather than a QF issue. Apparently the original Z class point requests go to MH who reject it and then it needs to be followed up with proof of travel?!

I think the issue is what happens originally...Like why is it most other classes come across fine, but that one doesn't?

I think MH reject the request because they think they've already paid it....

One has to wonder why the issue is still there after almost 6 months, then again it is Malaysia!

Not sure about the Discount Economy reference, but if in Z with those routes you should see full business SCs, but earn miles at 0.75 per 1 mile. This, according to the QF Partner Airline Earning table.

Recently I've had the same positive experience with full points posting on a route that, according to the QF table, should only be 0.75. But the SCs are the important part to me. Knocking off 500 points wouldn't disappoint me.

1950 miles is roughly 75% of the miles between PER and KUL..

This seems to be confirmed by similar issues reported on the BAEC Board of FT (if we're allowed to mention such places here!).

Indicative of the problem being with MH rather than other OW airlines!

Agreed, though my travel with MH has been intra-Asia, so I've been earning 1.25x on the relatively small amount of miles flown. All posted accurately on 1st request from the service centre :)

Of course. I assumed that the entry in a person's FF statement would be like other flights where the actual miles flown appears first, then any bonuses or discounts applied to that, but that's obviously not the case with MH.

I saw some early entries like that, but having a negative cabin bonus did look a bit strange!

I've never had to follow up anything that wasn't 'Z'. Heck, even a non earning economy class came through with zero...

Suffered an identical fate to the OP when I recently did HKG-KUL-SYD, also Z Class

QFF duly added to the booking (and printed on all BPs), nothing credited - keyed the details into the Points Claim form online and got "No Record Of Travel" back for my troubles.

Emailed my E-Ticket (which shows my QFF Number) to FF Service Centre and they were added within 2 days - Thumbs Up!

Our Frequent Flyer team at the Service Centre are doing all possible to speed up the retro-claim process from their end.

Please continue to email [email protected] with your FF details and copies of the e-ticket and boarding passes for their reference.

Of course you can call them on 131131, or private message me for further assistance if necessary.

I share your interest in having a more permanent solution to this ongoing matter. :)

My story was a little annoying but rapidly resolved by Red Roo recently.

Z class flights, knew claiming online would fail. Emailed address above and sent in BP copies too. Then call, need to send in original ticket! Done and nothign heard. 2 weeks later posts as "claimed on another carrier". Message to Red Roo and same day phone call with response and correct posting of points.

I don't know who the issue is with, but I was getting annoyed at QF. Maybe that should be MH?

Also, have done pretty poorly with points posting lately, overall. My VA bonus from the Hilton offer never posted, AMEX didn't give me Harvey Norman points. NAB owe me $30 for depositing some money and I had to chase SIXT for any points at all...

I'm glad I enjoy the points game, or I'd be tearing my hair out.

Recently flew MH from KUL-BKK in Z class and after reading this thread was expecting to have to chase up the points and SC's.

However can report that points were credited to my QFF account 7 days after the flight.:)
