LOL

You can do this online as I found out.

I have just bitten the bullet and booked 3 return Syd-Kul J fares for next April at 40000 Enrich miles and $400 in taxes per seat. A paid J fare is $4467.02; my Enrich miles came from AMEX (one day transfer time:p) so I got $4000 / 40000 = 10 cents value per AMEX point redeemed.so I'm very happy!!:D As an added bonus, given MHs entry to OW on 1 Feb 13, will get to use the QF F lounge and MH F lounge at either end!! Can't complain about that!

How do you get into a F lounge with a J ticket?

When MH joins oneworld, it is assumed by oneworld rules that oneworld Emeralds (which includes Qantas Platinums) will have access to the MH First Class Lounge.

I don't know whether this means just the MH First Class Lounge or may also include the MH Platinum Lounge (at KUL Satellite, the Golden Club Class, First Class and Platinum Lounges are in the same precinct).

Amex MR account holders may want to take advantage of this offer with transfer of points to Enrich.

Re: Malaysia Airlines offering 50% off promotion for 2013 travels

Could someone please tell me if they see any F seats for 2 people KUL-LHR around May 25, returning ~Jun 22 next year, and how many points it is?

I don't have my enrich number handy and can't find a way to retrieve it!

Thanks

Re: Malaysia Airlines offering 50% off promotion for 2013 travels

Thanks for your quick reply! Now to confirm the holiday. Anyone know how long points take to transfer from Amex? Non refundable kind of worries me, but its worth it.

Just booked 2 J seats SYD KUL and 2 F seats on A380 for KUL to CDG (2 separate one way bookings which makes any future changes easy) for 21/5/13

Looking forward to QF F Lounge in SYD the KL F Lounge in KUL :)

20k points plus about $225 taxes SYD/KUL and 80k points in F A380 KUL CDG +about $250 in taxes

Coming home in TG A380 F to BKK and TG F on 747 BKK to SYD. Havent had a TG buggy ride at airgate, but that should be fun at BKK. Looking forward to their F Lounge as well

132k +$450 taxes on way home using SG points

All points transferred from Westpac Altitude Amex

Will do TR on MH and TG experiences~1

Infinity you have reminded me to land some points in thru Westpac Platinum Altitude. I started the warehouse a while ago and got swept up in the lower cost points from Citi Select.
Maybe it is time to try a one way for the two of us to Paris.

MAS were good enough to give me the redemptions at the point levels in place before they recognised they had made an error. I did however have a confirmed reservation in the system at that stage (but not yet fully ticketed and paid) with the required points recorded in the reservation, so that helped. But all the same, they could have said no seeing as I had yet to pay for it.

Not sure if Citi Select can tfr to MH but, Altitude has been great for me to generate points and push to SG for *A and MH now soon to be OW.

Prenty handy if you live in SYD like me

Good luck Cove!

Grandma not coming now, but of course Mr KLN has changed his mind and now coming too. he nearly has enough point of his own. spent 8 mins on the phone to the call centre as of course web site useless and havr transferred the remainder 1,280 points that he needs to book J return fo F1 in March. half of his ponts were due to expire EOY 2013 so figured it was worth the 85 Ringits too use them all up. its less than 30 AUD so thats better than wasting them

Enjoy that. The buggy ride is a hoot and the F lounge is amazing.

Regardless of the reservation already existing, that seems very good to of them - nice customer service. How did you achieve a confirmed reservation not yet ticketed / paid yet though? I was under the impression MH would not hold aware seats, you had to ticket and pay on the spot?

Just for clarity, MH is not a transfer of Citi Select (unfortunately - wish it was!)

No, MH will hold tickets for you,or they did for me at least. They try to be quite helpful on the phone I've found and gave me 9 days to finalize the payment. They seem to have some flexibility in how long they give you too.

Made my Kul-Lhr first returns now.
