Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to all.

Thank you AFF's for the advice, information, laughs and ideas which many have so freely shared this year. I've learnt a lot, and am looking forward to meeting some of you in Oz next year. Cheers :!:

Yes Merry Christmas and happy new year

I know I'll meet some AFFers next year both in Australia and elsewhere.

Thanks for all the help.

I echo those sentiments, Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all.

May your points post on time, that blocked seat beside you stay empty and and your op-ups be plentiful. 8)

Merry Christmas & a Happy, Prosperous and Healthy New Year to all.

Thank you to all who have helped me along the way.

AFF is a wonderful site and let's hope that 2006 is just as successful, if not more, than 2005.

AFF is a wonderful site and let's hope that this success continues in 2006.

And ditto all the above from me. Been a great site for learning some "tricks of the trade" from posters who are generous with their time and knowledge.

Cheers

Yes... Happy silly season to everyone and I second the thanks for all the humor, advice and just plain good will which exists on this forum.

Heres hoping everyone has a safe and bountiful 2006.

Cheers

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Merry Christmas to all from me too - and best of all for me I have 3 weeks off with no travel!

This aspect of AFF amazes me - it is amazing how much time and effort some posters put into this site and helping others.

From me also, A Very Merry Christmas and Happy (and Safe) New Year to all. Sorry I'm not able to get to any of the airport drinks sessions (yet again) as my wife had foot surgery today and now needs babysitting for the next few weeks.

As stated by others this forum is a great place to learn  and be able to help others and a great bunch of people.

Cheers to all :!: :D :) :D 8)

Merry Xmas to all who sail on the good bulletin board AFF, trust you all have a safe start to 2006.

Although I have met many people who post both on Flyertalk and here, I'm yet to met somebody specifically from AFF. I break that mold on Dec 26 when I finally get to put a face to JohnK's name at BNE Intl. I think 2006 should be the year that we actually organise get-togethers. Yes, I'm a real person , quite normal really...not a geek :p

The QF WP's Xmas/New Year plans:

The last Intl trip I foresee me going on for a very long time...so we made it a decent trip...

As most here know, our Xmas Day will be here in BNE with family, with Mrs QF WP and I then jetting off the next day on QF BNE/LAX (hopefully blowing 144K points on upgraded Skybeds for us both, with QF's blessing of course), transferring to AA LAX/DFW/MIA (in AA First, thanks to blowing 30K AA points of Mrs QF WP's AA points).

Dec 28 sees us fly a QFF award flight in J, on AA MIA/MBJ (Montego Bay, Jamaica for those who couldn't be bothered doing the airport code lookup  ) - courtesy of 32K FF points [+ 5K assisted booking fee].

There I'll be toasting you all at Couples Negril, with all we can eat and drink for 7 nights. Pure bl**dy bliss, I tell you (unless a rogue tornado comes through  ).

Then after feeding and drinking ourselves to a frenzy, we burn it all off on the ski slopes of Canada. 4 Jan 2006 sees us flying AA MBJ/MIA/SFO (the latter sector in AA First, thanks to my parents Xmas present to us of 15K AA points each), connecting to AS SFO/SEA. Overnight in Westin SEA and an early morning flight SEA/YLW on Horizon.

Being a ski bum for 7 days suits me - burning hundreds of calories I put on in the previous week and giving my quads and calves a mighty workout (as well as the knees). Then it's the long haul home... returning YLW/SEA on Horizon; then AS SEA/LAX with a connection to QF26 LAX/BNE [losing another 144K points courtesy of QF hopefully). Arrival at home...around 9am Saturday. Then sleep, unpack, wash and remind our dog just who we are....

As there is no rest for the naughty, I'm off for work to PER on Tuesday 17th...thanfully scored an upgrade to J using points (almost unheard of, so didn't have to think twice). After the Conference, staying the weekend and have two day trips - Saturday PER/BME/PER and Sunday PER/KGI/PER (never been to the WA country-side before and who knows when I'll return). Follow that up with PER/ADL on Tuesday 24th (upgraded using 2 UC's to J) and then ADL/SYD/BNE on Wednesday (upgraded SYD/BNE with my final ever UC, still trying to get ADL/SYD).

Glutton for flying...yup. Got to get it in so I can remind myelf what this lifestyle was like when I lose it...

Best wishes to everyone here for Christmas and the New Year. Thanks for posting such helpful information. I learn something new every day.

Safe travels! 8)

I agree with all that has been said.

AFF is an excellent source of knowledge. It's also amazing how much it has grown in the last 12 months or so.

Congrats and Thanks to all. Best wishes over Christmas, New Year and any other special celebrations in that time.

Yep a decent trip indeed :D. It looks like a case of great minds think alike  .

I'm super jealous considering I cancelled my trip yesterday to TYO, YVR, YYZ, YUL and BGI. I'm not so bothered about not skiing in Canada as it's dumping snow here. But forgoeing the sun of a Barbados beach and Xmas dinner at the Sandy Lane Resort is a bit hard to swallow :( .

I know, I know, it's better for my own good in the long-run, but I'm still :x . :p .

Merry Christmas to everyone. Hope the new year brings miles, status and all you strive to achieve.

YVR for Christmas, ORD briefly after New Year.

It didn't feel like Christmas before, but now that I've had a suitable liquid lunch to mark the season....

Merry Christmas Everybody

Mrs Damien and I will be sunning ourselves with friends on the Sunshine Coast.

Christmas Day and that week in Vail, CO, New Years Eve in New York then flying to London JFK-EO-STN for a few days.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
