Interesting...
Lounge access - oneworld

Now Cathay and Malaysia logo's appear next to the QF Int Business and first lounges. I guess that means they've come to some sort of agreement, I wonder if they will close their own lounges in favour of QF?

Hopefully this is a sign of them becoming better friends!

That might help to keep the F lounge open a little bit later, if it happens.

We can only hope!

QF site still mentions 18:30 closing for First and 23:30 closing for Business.
I live in hope of being able to have dinner in the QF First lounge one day....one day..... :)

so I'm flying QR out of MEL tonight in J, which lounge(s) will be open and which ones does AFF recommend? I have in the past used CX, MH and QF and found them all to be good... sick of the Koru club that QR normally uses. I have QF WP which I will use to gain access to the others..

Just to add some food for thought to the QF international Lounge Hours in Melbourne.

With the Upcoming introduction of the new JQ service to NRT which leaves Melbourne Just after 11:00pm, this A330 service sells the Business max Bundle, which includes Lounge access when purchased ( ie for those that do not hold QF frequent flyer Status gold & above).

Im beginning to think that the QF J Lounge may well indeed have its opening hours extended on those nights where the NRT flight takes off, as a lounge should be open & available for those that would have paid for it with a Business max bundle.

Thoughts anyone?

Maybe i'm specualting..... but if someone forked out for a business max bundle which includes lounge access...... than im thinking it should be available.

didn't end up using any lounge as was stuck in the TRS line for most of my time and still didn't manage to get through to the counter!

QR have stopped using Air NZ Koru lounge and now send J class passengers to QF J lounge.

The MEL J lounge is open until about 11.30pm anyway. The F lounge closes early (6.30pm) and it would be nice if they extended their hours.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll pass this on to the team responsible for updating the site. :)

Hi Red Roo, just to let you the OW lounge directory Lounge access - oneworld for Melbourne still hasn't been updated and still reflects the old times. I'd hate for QF to be loosing out on business because people think the lounge is closed earlier than it is.

Thanks for letting me know. I've passed this on again in case of oversight.
