As most of you know, intra-Asia flights earn 60 SC when flying non-QF airlines.

on QF, East Coast flights to -BKK -CGK -HKG -SYD earn 125-135 SC depending on fare class

Flying MH to KUL earns 60 (less than Perth!)

Anyone whose flown this route recently/frequently tried to hack a way to improve the status credit earn (e.g., separate tickets via SIN? other ideas?)

If you want.to maximise SC earn, then stay away from MH between Aust and KL. No hacks, just need a different airline.

Can you tack on an additional domestic connection such as OOL-SYD-KUL instead of BNE-KUL. I've found quite often a domestic tag will only add a little more to the overall international fare.

SYD-xMEL-DPS (QF) + DPS-KUL (MH) RT in J can be done for ~$2k and nets 440SC
MEL-xSYD-DPS also an option if you're Melbourne based.

QF won't check through to MH on the outbound, but MH will check through to QF on the inbound.

I'm doing this myself in a few months. DSC makes it 760SC total, $2.63/SC

That’s an awesome routing

Hilarious DPS is a transit hub!
