So can book MH now for say April next and claim QFF points back once flown?

If MH integrates into OneWorld, then you should just be able to add your QFF number on the booking at the time that they enter OW, or even at the airport as you're about to fly.

........but what if you are heading to Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam or Bukit Bintang. Train's not so good for that.

Plenty of other public transport options from Sentral :)

Only if you want to arrive at BB covered in sweat;) Currently, the monorail at Sentral stops about 500metres from KL Sentral where the KLIA express stops. You need to walk outside on a dusty road past The Nu Sentral shopping centre which is being built. Once this is finished (apparently Oct this year) you can walk through the shopping centre to the monorail. Note that the last monorail stops running just before midnight and is not the easiest to navigate if you have a lot of luggage.

The walk used to be easy, through a covered walkway directly to the monorail stop. The giant hole in the ground is a bit of a dampener on that, but the walk is hardly onerous. Avoiding the taxi and bus touts is the biggest hardship! Plus there's some good food places next to the monorail station :)

Yeah, I know. But if you read back through the thread, we were talking about the merits of Subang airport. And Subang seems a much better option in most cases than KLIA.
Subang: Short taxi to any KL destination
KLIA: Fast 30 minute train to Central, then walk, monorail (or additional taxi) to destination - all with luggage. Ahhhhhhhhhh no.

Hmmm.
SZB. Fly Y on firefly or similar:-|
KUL. Fly inexpensive J on MH:cool:

If coming from BB or KLCC districts where we usually stop, either way theres a cab ride somewhere. Agree the monorail is not much of a proposition with luggage. If travelling in peak hour (which seems to go forever) I'd maximise my time on the fast train. The trip to SZB is relatively short, but may not be quick then.

Yep will utilise my cx gold to access golden lounge while flying MH Y. Is the syd golden lounge still around?

WooHoo :)

Now, I hope the earning tables don't aren't too complicated (Enrich has variations between Int and Dom flights), and don't exclude too many of the cheap fares

Yeah I've been in the SYD MH J lounge about 4 years back. Nothing much in there. Hopefully they will refurbish it? Or maybe they will get rid of it?

I've never been into the International J lounge at SYD for QF, is that much better?

Yes, it's hole.
Actually, a hole in a hole.
And J side is better than F.
I guess it's moot as F is about to be extinct (in Aus).

QF International J and F lounges in Sydney and Melbourne are SENSATIONAL absolutely world class and beyond in some ways.
