Made any travel mistakes lately?

Oh I am looking at that. Husband just got a chunk of points returned due to his Sept trip being cancelled
Yes same for us. We usually go each year around that time to ski, and take our adult daughter and her wife, and son and GF as well, usually on points if we can manage to get seats. I got hundreds of thousands of points refunded for our Jan/Feb 2021 trip, so thinking I might risk it for next year.

I've just plucked up the courage to book PER -> MEL -> PER over Christmas. But the trouble is availability for my specific requirements: no late flights and must be A330. The only option I have found requires 10 nights in Melbourne which is a bit too long for my travel enabler. I'm looking at Business class.

A few weeks ago in Korea, I bought a train ticket to get me from Suwon to Seoul Station. The plan was to walk the 500 metres or so from Seoul Station to the Ramada for an overnight stop over.
Welcome to AFF @feedtaleten :)

I was a bit taken aback by that as being a mistake, until I tried to plan a route on Google maps. I have never seen 1616099084571.png before! 😲

Yes my mistake is booking an interstate flight! (think border closures)
I've made that mistake too. And I am getting worried because I keep making the same mistake over and over. I am just about ready to learn my lesson and stop booking flights. Flights actually taken in the last 12 months: 3 Flights cancelled (including international) in the last 12 months: 14

We booked our Easter Trip to Adelaide and had to cancel this due to Victorian rules... sounds funny, right?
- we have flown to SYD from BNE on 15.03 but that would still allow us into SA
- we booked flights via MEL (SYD-MEL-ADL) as they were the only ones with seats on points (<<...here is the mistake...)
- VIC does not allow anyone to enter that has been to Brisbane after March 11...

5th Domestic trip cancelled this year and it is only the end of March.

It is actually contradictory. You can enter if you have been in an orange zone in the last 14 days, but need a permit and must iso until a -ve test. If you have only been in a green zone in the last 14 days just get a permit and do nothing else. The web site says that anyone coming after 12 March needs to iso until a -ve test.

Yes and that is why we decided to just do it another time. It is very unlikely to be checked in MEL on a flight from SYD but we did not wanna risk it. Who knows what is developing in the next few days and at least today we could cancel anything for free.

I'm still trying to figure this one out. Are all the roads near the station arterial roads with no footpaths between the train station and the hotel?
That's pretty much it. From memory it was all pretty solid and very busy roads around there. No way through by foot. The markets are close by and walking down some streets on the market perimeter you end up at solid road embankments with no foot access either over or along the main road.
