Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Re: Lounge access in Singapore

Hi all,

Have a lengthy trip coming up with my partner all in Y and trying to draw on the collective wisdom of AFF to get the best use of 4 x QF Lounge Passes :)

This is our route:
QF MEL-DXB
Your only opportunity to use the vouchers on that itinerary would be in MEL before your flight to DXB. You would need to use 2 passes (one for you and one for your partner).

Thanks Mviy. Bit of a bummer but at least that makes the decision-making very easy! Cheers for the reply.

Re: Lounge access in Singapore

We're flying out to Stockholm shortly - we're both VA Gold, flying (and booked directly) with SQ PER-SIN-FRA-ARN return. The FRA-ARN-FRA sectors are SQ codeshares operated by Lufthansa.

From what I've been able to work out, whilst we will have lounge access in PER (SilverKris) and SIN (KrisFlyer Gold), we won't be able to get lounge access anywhere at either FRA or ARN? Is that correct? Thanks :) .

That's how I read the VA website

Re: Lounge access in Tahiti (PPT)

I'll be travelling from PPT to AKL on QF3816 (flight operated by TN) and I wasn't expecting to have lounge access until I read a trip report showing a picture of the entrance of the "Salon Manuhuri": https://knightofmalta.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/img_4365.jpg. There is a Qantas sign on the door. Does anyone know if this lounge is accessible based on QF status or only for J pax booked on the QF coseshare?

Thank you for that info, that's great. I thought surely that can't be right but Qantas Sales said no, she wasn't eligible. I will get back to them.

I'll be interested to hear how she goes, as on 12 May wife and I flew HKG- SYD (CX J) but were then denied entry to the SYD DOM J lounge.

Admittedly I did ask at the entry to the QP, as I was feeling a bit lagged and had a massive cold along with some still unresolved more major medical issues, and didn't remember where the entry to the DOM J Lounge was.

OP on this thread explained how QF are able to do that.

Flying:
ADL-MEL on VA (EY Flight Number)
MEL-AUH-LHR on EY (EY Flight Number)

Am Alitalia Freccia Alata Plus and AirBerlin Gold, will I have access to the VA lounge in ADL, the EY lounge in MEL and the EY First lounge in AUH?

Yes to ADL, and a qualified 'I think so' in MEL and AUH.

No access unless you are a J pax (whether QF or TN marketed) or have a Priority Pass. This is because SM is not currently a QF Associated lounge.
The QF sign is only for QF codeshare J pax (which are only on TN flights at PPT). QF tier status is not recognised.

Its the only lounge at the international terminal (Airside).

All lounge invites are generated at Checkin.

Thanks! Sorry for going OT, but will QF be able to give me my boarding pass for the QF codeshare on TN when I check in in MEL? I have almost 9 hours between QF 93 landing in LAX and the LAX-PPT flight. I'd rather spend that time working in the QF F lounge at LAX than waiting for TN counter to open to get a BP. All flights are on the same ticket.

Re: Lounge access in Tahiti (PPT)

Im Alitalia Freccia Alata Club (GOLD) , and flying an upgraded (through the web auction) PER-SYD on VA.

Will I be able to guest in someone at the Virgin Lounge in Perth?

No guests.

Only VA passengers with Velocity Gold and Platinum and those who have paid for an annual lounge membership can guest. Business class only = no guest

Single entry at $65 can be purchased.

Your Freccia Alata Gold membership allows you entry as well. But still no guesting for partner airline members

Re: Advice for LAX lounging

Hi AFF members, heading to Dubai tomorrow on EK433 out of BNE at 0500. I am a QFF Platinum and not sure how lenient the Emirates Lounge is, I am travelling with my wife and 2 kids, and the mother in law. I know I can have 1 guest and 2 kids into the lounge (I think the first class lounge), but I am not sure if they tend to be lenient on an extra person or not. I know with Qantas it tends to be at their discretion and as long as your not travelling at City Flyer times, they are usually pretty good. Anyone with any experience at Emirates in Brisbane International? Thanks in advance :)
Ask but don't expect it...

LAX lounge domestic travel in US

This is the first time I've had this dilema.
Flying LAS - LAX - SFO next week on AA in economy with my wife. Me - Gold, her Silver
We have 3 hours between flights - do we have access to the Admirals Club at LAX?
I believe we do, but want to check beforehand.
Thanks for any help.
Alan
