Hi All, I've been out of touch for a while as I had to cancel the "big" trip 2 years ago, but in the new year I'm off on a "One World" Around The World Business Class Trip (or I think it's now called Spend The Kids Inheritance) & I'd like some suggestions on Airport Lounges. At LAX I imagine the Qantas lounge is best, but as I'm LAX-JFK from T4 is there a good AA lounge or stick to QF. In New York I'm departing from T8, any suggestions? I have a layover in Munich arriving T1 & departing T2, any suggestions there? And I have Hong Kong arriving & departing T1, spoilt for choice - so many lounges, any suggestions there?
Lastly one out of left field, a side trip, any suggestions for Cairo for a long layover, Flying Business Class with Egyptair, so Star Alliance lounges there. The Cairo lounges don't seem to have the best reviews!
Many thanks

For HKG lounges travelling Business class without Platinum access do try all the lounges including Qantas lounge and CX lounges Pier, Wing, Cabin and Deck in that order.

Thanks John, I've got a 4H+ layover Hong Kong so I'll do your suggestion and do a lounge crawl starting at Qantas & doing in your order, Pier, Wing, Cabin & Deck. Once again thanks for your help.

Which airline you flying in and out of Munich with?
Last visit there we were directed to the BA lounge and it was very ordinary to say the least.

If you're starting that side you'd best go Wing, Qantas, Deck, Cabin (walk or train to gate 40) and Pier.

I usually check next gate and walk to furthest lounge and make my way back.

I've got another 4 hour layover in Munich - flying out with Finnair from T2.
And thanks for the revised suggestion for HKG.

Things have possibly changed but last visit there T2 was only used by LH and Star Alliance airlines. All others used T1 and we were directed to the BA lounge but we were informed AY flyers use the Air France lounge which is better but before security

I saw the Air France one online, rated 2 stars, one says it's in Terminal 1, Modul D, Level 05, after Security. Rated 42 out of 51 lounges in Germany. Elsewhere online it says Location: Terminal 1 / Area D / Level 5 / Before Security. So I have some confusion if it's inside or outside security but it is rated so badly I'd be looking at something else if possible.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Have never used it but geez it doesn’t sound great. The BA lounge is bang on average though and I didn’t think you could get much worse

By all means do the lounge crawl suggested above if you like, but the Wing business class lounge is forgettable. I'd skip it. The Pier business lounge on the other hand is superb - a first class lounge for many Airlines.

Qantas, maybe Cabin and then Pier would be my suggestion to optimise both experience and quality.

For Munich I'll just have to take whatever is available after security as it's a layover.
Thanks for the HKG update Roo, I thought I might be stretching things a bit with 5 lounges, 3 of the best sounds better.
Qantas, Cabin and Pier sounds like a great idea.

Does anyone know of a OW lounge at Stuttgart? Flying Iberia as QP (OW Emerald). Not codeshare.
