I work for a media organisation, and my main job is managing the IT and logistics at major events..

Leftover Olympic tickets have been released today. I managed to get 2 tickets to archery at Lords Cricket Ground. Had I not made a mistake with the Visa card additional security code set-up at first go, I could have gotten the session we really wanted. Those tickets gone when I tried again . So, I had to tried 7 times for different price levels and time sessions, before successful.

We got football tickets relatively easy, but have read in the news that LOCOG only managed to sell 100,000 football tickets out of 1.4M! So, there were rumours that they would have to give away those football tickets

I think that there will be tickets getting traded as I remember people trying to get rid of Gold Medal soccer tickets when their team missed out (at Sydney).
