if it worked, it should have worked immediately on the app

hmmm does that mean it didnt work?

"You can select 10 stores from a list Amex presents you in the app to play Local Champion at, and it seems that if no-one else is playing for status at a given location, then it takes either 3 or 5 transactions in 30 days to become the Local Champion. "

hm

so in 30 days?

All my small transactions at Coles don't count towards LC. Over $50 does. I have just done a $25, $35 and a $45 transaction over the last 2 days to see where the minimum spend is....probably in the same boat as prozerran. We'll see.

Hmm this is annoying. Wonder why it has started happening.

more than likely it did NOT work. :(

newbie here,
my understanding is that once you do the minimum transactions, you become champion and then you start getting the bonus points,

on my list of 10, 9 of them said 3 transcations to become champ does that mean that these ones, no one is probably playing there???

>SOPOOR

Just means they have low number of transactions (likely not much competition - someone has made 2 more purchases than you are currently LC, so you need to make 3 recognised transactions to become LC - you will get LC points on your 3rd transaction)

Just noticed my local Coles wasn't on the map, only appeared after I spent $33 at it the other day, now I can add it to LC but it says required 11 transactions! Damm I'll try another Coles

thanks for that, since 9 out of my 10 were 3 transactions, Ijust assumed it was teh default for places with no interest,

the shop im looking at says 3 transactions, but its rather higher spend $100+ for me

if I did hte 3 transactions, and then became champion, and didnt buy anything for a while , and then I lose LC status, then I wont get the bonus will i????

I have a number of potential LC sites where the app tells me I only need 1 transaction. Some I have only spent once before and I'm pretty sure I've had some never spends too

That's correct.

The transactions last a month, and then come off day by day depending on spend. So if you aren't going to spend for 1 month, you probably will lose LC status.

Anybody with a linked explorer/edge manage to get bonus point's for local champion spending on the explorer?
Mine didn't post...not going to make an issue as it's a small amount and the benefits of the account being linked far exceed the local champ bonus points.

question: if Iwas making multiple purchases for the first time

eg $100 x 20 all o nteh same day

and it was 2 transactions required

would I start getting bonus points on the 3rd trsnaction automatically?

or do I havet o wait until I become the local champion

It's random. I just did 1 per day till I got LC, then smashed it with a higher value transactions. Still points take a while to process :(

I wouldn't spend big until you've checked the app to make sure they have registered. I have found (at least at Coles) that when you make LC, other transactions on the same day (before you are officially LC) get the points too
