I see the ability to earn points at restaurants but doesn’t seem this applies in Australia yet. I always charge to the room when I stay but I also visit the restaurants when I’m not a hotel guest.

New system switched on today?? triggered automatic conversion of my points to Qantas.....which I had switched off months ago......and cannot login. Off to a great start
Same for me. The points have disappeared from my ALL account, but have not appeared in the QF tally.

I’ve emailed them, but it’s been radio silence.

The accor app looks like zero leap forward. Tarted up version of the same old thing. Still won’t retain any preferences other than currency, still refuses to run in portrait mode on a tablet...

Does anyone know how the new Suite Upgrade benefit for Platinum is actually redeemed? Calling Accor has been absolutely useless.

Do I need to call the reservation line to request or can I book a room online and then call the hotel to upgrade? Is there a minimal room type/rate that needs to be met in order to trigger the upgrade? So many questions and so little answers from Accor...

A week later and no reply to my email.

I’ve also made two phone calls and on neither occasion has the Accor rep been able to cancel my automatic transfer of points to Qantas.

In the first call I was told he would email me the instructions. These turned out to be for the old Accor website and were therefore useless.

On the second call the guy tried to talk me through what to do on the website... which crashed after three clicks.

Yep, which makes me question the value of SNUs. I'm very very tempted to spread the love with maybe Hilton or IHG

I see that the list of hotel restaurants that award points for dining (when not staying) has been updated and includes some Australian hotels now. I went to a Sebel for breakfast this week and they advised me of this new benefit and said I should link my credit card for a future visit to earn points. Interestingly their hotel was not listed on the updated list at the time.

Could be a good benefit if it works properly.

I've been an Accor Platinum member for five or six years, and I'm generally pretty happy with the benefits I get, although it can be patchy. Sometimes, I'm amazed, other times there seems to be nothing more offered than one welcome drink, even if I'm travelling with my partner.

I always just purchase the cheapest room deal available, and hope that something better might happen. In Asia, there is always a free breakfast, every day of the week, so the new stated benefits would be a reduction. And the Suite Night Upgrade seems to have more exclusions than you could imagine.

I've qualified for Platinum for 2020, and will be in Europe for a few months, so I'll see if there is any difference from what I've come to expect in the past.

There is no reduction in benefits. All existing benefits remain.

I think being able to buy a $2 donut from the Pullman restaurant to stop my points expiring is the biggest benefit
Yes, this is great news! It’s really tough to earn Accor points in Australia without staying, otherwise.

The ibis business and accor plus still can not in same account. Was hoping this is possible after the re brand, but no luck so far.

Link the credit card you use in the Accor App.
Think it’s Account\Settings\Credit Cards\Pay with this card in the restaurant to earn points

Well i lost all Accor status since ticking over to 2020, due to practically non existent work travel in second half of 2019.

Today i logged into the new site to search member rates for an upcomming weekend away and found the rates to be more expensive than both Qantas and Hotels.com for the same room type on same dates. I know i could have put in a claim under price guarantee but since work travel is still lacking and im unlikely to do 10 nights this year to even get to silver, decided to use Qantas and at least get FF points.
