A mate sent this to me .He had it in his inbox .
Seems a targeted marketing push...limited people to limited destinations
Valentines day themed travel is 30APR-24 Jun
Unfortunately it finsihes today..Hamilton Is or Cairns away from southern winters in Jun sounds noice!!
www.jetstar.com/loveisintheair
3 destinations offered ex SYD/MEL&BNE
examples
SYDHBA under $50.00 all oneway 2 must tvl...oops typo I had SYDCNS for $50
SYDCNS under $85
MELDRW $65
MELCNS $100

Some reasonable deals there...

In the age of the Internet, there is no such thing any more as a 'targetted deal' or similar, unless strict controls are put into place to stop others from accessing the deal.

Methinks this is a Jetstar 'quiet' sale - Meant to be spread around, but not advertised through the usual channels.

CNS on JQ - CNS Hilton? Anyone logged into HPC website yet?

Who is interested in meeting up in CNS on this fare? :) Early May, anyone?

I was just talking to Straitman about the HPC 1yr/2yr fiasco but the HPC website refused to accept my HPC#/Surname combo. Are our names/member#s not loaded yet into their database?

I phoned the 1800# but this being Australia and likely RCI not Hilton running HPC, there is only a voicemail requesting a name/contact# so she can call back. I wish it was just the Hilton Res #!

I'd like to check the CNS Hilton from the HPC site but it is a Catch22 as login is required to book directly or at the $99 rate. Will try HH site next.
From our HPC #1 group, has anyone logged in successfully to Hilton Premium Club ?

If you don't mind, can you advise me (PM or here as I'm trying to confirm the JQ flight dates) good dates to book the $99 rate?

Thanks!
BB

BiziBB,

I've found the HPC site is case sensitive critical so maybe that was your blocker.

Having said all that I've tried to login under my new number and it does not work either. I'll also hastle them about that tomorrow.

I may be interested in meeting up in CNS but I will not be getting there with JQ. Will have to find a special airfare on a real airline!

Not sure you will get many takers though as Ozfest V is in Hobart end of May.

I tried all of May!

"Please note that the Welcome to Premium Club $99 rate you requested was not available. Available rates are displayed below."

I also tried random dates in June, July and August with the same result. I also tried searching random dates for the $165 special rate until March 31, 2008 and did not find any availability.

Can someone please remind me why I signed up for HPC?

I did some searching for this month, and found availability in a few days for the rate.

It was fun to try to combine the fare with a 2x $99/nt Cairns stay.

I hadn't thought about OzFest!

If not for our recent trip through Asia to Colombo (to begin the AZ fare on FT to Europe/US) I'd have booked a red-e-deal to BNE and maybe to HBA.

Sorry I can't get to the AGM to meet you... This could be the first year I spend five figures (easily) on a series of 'special' fares.

At least we will have the consolation of (I hope!) confortable flights and lounges - and a first-time experience of Venice.

All without JQ flights, hooray!

JohnK,

Interesting as I've found (a few weeks ago) lots of availability for Adelaide, Cairns, Melbourne Airport, Brisbane and Perth at the $99 rate. I have not tried Sydney and don't really wish to go to Hilton on the Park in Melbourne again unless I have to.

There was certainly availability for next week when I looked though I decided not to use the cards on this occasion.

I'll have another look this evening.

BiziBB,

I didn't really consider another run to Cairns as I'll be there next week any way and can't justify another so soon.

Interestingly there does not appear to be availability in CNS for the $99 rate from May onwards.

I have found $99 rate availability in SYD and AKL but for obvious reasons I would prefer to use it in AKL not 15 kilometres from my place.

Re: JQ limited 2 for 1 offer

Hopefully I can get an answer from the HPC person, so I get a login.

Bill did you get any satusfactory response from your HPC phone call?

Cheers,
Ben
