Excellent, now I have an account I can't get into. What to do, create another account?

My first suggestion is to visit the BMI website and use the forgotten password link to see if your email address is registered as having an account https://www.flybmi.com/bmi/en-gb/my-flybmi/forgotten-your-password.aspx

If it is, the it will send you your password, you can attempt to log into and check to see if it is registered for the 9000 miles.

If it doesn't work, then you don't have an account, and should attempt to sign up again.

If it does work, and you don't have the 9000 miles reference or miles posted, then take it up with Customer Service or whatever BMI call their customer support team. Or, by using the technique I described in this post: http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/com...n/join-bmi-diamond-club-12046.html#post156506 the 9000 miles may turn up in your account rather than having to involve Customer Service.

Oh, I have an account alright, and I have actually been into it (once). No matter what angle I take now, I get the website maintenace message, even trying what you described before. In fact, if I log in and then try to go to the home page www.flybmi.com I get the website maintenance screen.

I created an account with an Aussie address through the UK front page and have received my 9000 points. I also have no problems accessing my account.

I have emailed the Diamond Club service desk about status matching and received this response:
"Dear Sir
If you could send in a copy of your latest Statement to [email protected] they will process your request to be Status matched.
Kind regards
bmi dc admin"

I am going to hold off on status matching as I have no O/S trips coming up until Nov. Good luck to any who are trying.

I have just looked at the accounts I created for the first time since 21st January. Both are active and have a 9000 credit and there were no issues logging in. :D

I did use the member # and pass word rather than the email address option and pass word, though I'm not sure if this means anything or not.

I managed to get to a point where I could get Welcome, Mark on a screen, and then got to a page where I could edit some details, so I whipped the postcode out, but when I got to the confirmation page and clicked submit - splat.

Once again i'm not sure if there is any relevance but I use Mozilla at home (I have not tried IE for this at home) and IE at work however work is through a Houston based server.

Makes no difference whether I use IE, or Firefox, or Netscape (RIP).

I went to the site and they only seem to be offering 4500 points now!

When you earn with BMI, is there a minimum points guarantee?

So if you fly a 109 mile segment with UA, do you get 109 points, or 500?

Funny how signup is now troublefree, smopoth and a 1-2min process with NO 'maintenance' message.

Sad that the miles are only 4500, for a 'one way, direct' flight only.

Very strange indeed.

I can, however, change my My FlyBMI profile, but after hitting confirm it errors, but does update the details. I have removed everything that is not mandatory, removed the postcode etc. but still no luck getting in to the FF account

Bummer.. I waited till a few days after all you guys tried, and had no problems at all.

9000 miles have posted now.

It would appear that this offer is no longer available. :( I was going to join but totally forgot about it.

If you join BMI Diamond Club now they are offfering a free lounge invitation for you and a guest. Not as appealing as the 9,000 miles bonus.

Sometimes you just need to jump on offers as they appear. Of course, then one has to hope that you can access you account as well....
