Thanks for this. Excellent news.

I believe this has around the lowest annual fee ($69 for the first year & $149 ongoing) for a card that earns 1 Qantas point per $ spent (limited to 100,000 points per year).

There is also the Qantas Credit Union Visa Platinum card that earns 1 point per $ spent @ $195pa.

What other alternatives are out there with a lowish annual fee (earning 1 point per $ spent)??

My CitiBusiness Visa card gets its points earning almost halved from 1.25 to 0.75 points per dollar spent on the 18th of this month .............. so it looks like it is time to change cards.

I would agree that currently the best non-free offer available.
I got my card in the mail today after awaiting 5 business days- decent turn around-I thought it strange i didn't get email approval beforehand though.
Will keep updated and hopefully re-apply if available later in 2016 like Dr Ralph below!

I'm hoping someone can give me some reassurance here...

I received my jetstar platinum card in Jan '16, enrolled in the QFF bonus plan. In the 60 day spend period I spent ~$4500 on the card, clearly surpassing the spend requirement of $3k. I received my second statement today and it states points earned was 29XX (with >1300 in the first period). I know that I've passed the $3,000 of non government spending in 60 days.

My question is, in the most recent statement shouldn't it say "QFF points earned 429XX" indicating that I've earned the bonus points. Also - how long have most had to wait for the bonus points to come through? Cheers

I just checked my last statement for Bankwest Qantas Platinum. I added all the eligible transactions (I removed the annual fee $160) by using a calculator, ignoring cents, meaning, say $1.5 + $1.5 purchase is really $2 of eligible purchase not $3. I then took that figure x 0.75 (since Platinum $1 = 0.75 QF point), and my figure was 10 points less than what Bankwest gave me.

The offer is back and now runs till 31 May 2016:

Jetstar Platinum MasterCard

Just tried to apply online, and I get error message:

Invalid offer code

Unfortunately this offer code is invalid

Telephoned the call centre and they said the offer has expired.

One thing airlines usually have in their t's and c's is something along the lines of "we can cancel the offer when we like"...

However Id check: Qantas points, Jetstar and Macquarie websites first. Good luck!

I applied for the card, all went well got my bonus points and even my (admittedly small) tax office payments still earning points. Nice bonus the other day, a free $200 jetstar credit which I just used today to book a couple of return flights to gold coast. Apparently get $1 for every $50 spend

Was a benefit I didn't even know about and will make me keep the card now that I have a daughter living there and based on my spend will use three or four times a year

Whilst I don't have this card generally I've found that bonus points show up on a statement when they go to put them into your account not when you spend enough to qualify for them.

I was going to apply for this card today, but since the bonus offer code is no longer valid I will have to try a different option. Without the bonus points this card is not worth it to me.

A damn pity they took away the 40,000 point offer because I was about to sign up. Not sure which card to try now because my Macquarie visa has now been limited to 1 for 1 for the first $2500 per statement.

I called them about the invalid code problem with the jetstar page link. They said they would get IT to look into it (they didn't tell me it had expired like the person above). It appears to be working now so they must have fixed it.

Too late for me. I already applied for a different Macquarie card and my understanding is that you can only get the bonus points on one Macquarie card (including Jetstar)

Is that so? I couldn't find any information indicating that in the T&C.

Hmmm ..... I guess I will find out shortly because I have just applied for the Jetstar card after being informed of the reward point reduction on my recently acquired Macquarie card (which included a 40,000 point incentive).

Hmmm. I thought I read that when I started the application when the bonus points link wasn't working. I guess I was wrong.

I guess I can try and get both cards then.
