Why would QF respond? From memory QF and JQ are one and the same and do not generally compete on airfares with one another....

Yes, but when DJ starts their sale, QF usually follows suit then.... Pretty sure Virgin wont let JQ have a free run on their sale...

There are some sale fares on the QF site at the moment (up till 5 Apr). Don't think it was there earlier tonight

Yes, QF just launched a sale a mere 12 hours after I just booked a PER-SYD-PER for $580 (can now get for $398 :evil. Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes!

The sale fares on Qantas only seem to be on a few destinations.

BNE-SYD and MEL-BNE haven't changed but BNE-CNS has come down by $57.00

Here's the funny thing, slightly different dates when I did this work trip 2 years ago .... and the same thing happened! (although that time it was 2 weeks later that the sale came)

Am I dreaming I saw an ad on TV last night advertising Jetstar SYD-BNE for $69 on a lite airfare with no luggage included? The current QF sale has SYD-BNE for $75 all inclusive.

I see MEL/BNE for $105 and SYD/BNE for $75 (down from $144 and $94).
