Jetstar Light - Instant Downgrade during Online Change

Hopefully this is just a temporary bug... but I am trying to change (online) a Jetsaver fare to a different flight date. Problem is when I input the new day I want to fly, the Jetstar website is instantly downgrading me to a Jetsaver Light fare.

I have paid for a Jetsaver fare, the amount I have paid is higher than what is currently being charged for a Jetsaver fare on the new date (checked via a dummy booking) and yet, the website will only let me swap (+change_fees) for the Jetsaver Light fare. It attempts to charge me an additional $10 (+change_fees) if I want to stay on the Jetsaver fare.

ARRGGHHH!!!!
 
Hmm ... I wouldn't mind guessing that the Fare code you were originally booked on is now being used to designate a JetSaver light fare.

I think a call to JQ is in oder to get them to alter your booking code to reflect what you originally booked (i.e. Jetsaver with 20Kg Checked Luggage).

I have just attempted to change another flight segment, and their website wanted to charge me $60, rather than $30. (Obviously I was trying to change to a new flight @ a lower JetSaver fare price, so there should be no additional fare difference to pay, AND JUST a $30 change fee.)

Well, the service from the Jetstar phone rep (when I called to complain) was abysmal, he refused to allow the call to be escalated to a manager or supervisor, [to enable me to explain things to someone who might understand that their system is compromised] and simply hung up on me.

ARRGGHHHH.... this should be simple Jetstar, I log into my booking, select the new flight I want to fly on (and so long as there are JetSaver seats on that flight for less than what I paid originally) I pay my $30, and that's it!

OK I accept sometimes there are bugs/issues/problems, BUT, if there is a problem with their system (i.e. not me @ fault), I should be able to call, and have someone do it for me manually @ $30... Instead it took a call to Qantas Frequent Flyer Premium desk, and a very helpful rep there (who understood I choose to fly Jetstar, because I am a Qantas Group customer) to find an equally helpful rep @ Jetstar, who was able to change my flight, and charge me just $30! I am very p!ssed off @ the moment!
