Hi AFF'ers,

What's the deal with Jetstar Bundles to get QFF status and points?

Is there a thread someone can point me to?

Sometimes work will book me on Jetstar and I was wondering if after them booking the flight I can pay for the bundle and add my QFF number to the booking or something?

Thanks for your help!

The bundle needs to be booked at the time the original booking is made, otherwise its very expensive, its called a plus pack, if JQ could make it an easy to add option later I am sure their revenue would increase significantly.

That's disappointing.

You should ask work whether you could pay out of your own pocket for the bundle.

And that is often a problem with TA booked fares, only the TA can change them. This includes adding the plus bundle.

Are you able to modify an existing booking to add this pack on for 1 ticket?

My girlfriend has booked us JQ fares to HNL for Mar 2014 but didn't add this one for me... would be helpful for Gold requal.

In many cases you can but the whole fare gets redone at current levels as well as a change fee, often is not worth it!

Does anyone have a link / can anyone point me in the right direction to where I can find a status credit earning table / menu / whatever to work out how many SC I'll get for Jetstar flights up to June 1?

Wouldn't it be god if you could pick out sections in the bundle for individual prices. I'm gold so i get lounge so I'm not going to pay $400 for the bundle on a flight to DPS. I would pay some $$ for the points though.

Back in the old days, there was no max bundle for business class, and everybody received lounge access, points, and status. However, it had gotten a little bit out of hand when someone who had never flown on Qantas or Jetstar could pretty much make silver just by flying SYD-xMEL-SIN and back on a promotion Star Class fare (not much more than $1000). As much as we loved to have access to such fares and status, it probably wasn't exactly sustainable.

General question, I've done a dummy booking for a return Business flight between Melb & Penang (via singapore).

1) Used my mobile phone yesterday it came up as: $3,971.76 (2 people return) and 160 SC each way (320 total) [7,800 QFF with 120 SC melb / Sing & 1,400 QFF 40 SC Sing / Penang)

2) Did the exact same booking on the lappy tonight (now): $3,971.76 BUT 9000 points and 140 SC for both legs (to penang & flying both) each.

I'm really confused, mobile booking said one, lappy says another with points & SC.

Just did the dummy run with my phone (price change, but expected)

Attachments below (4 attachments, as screen too small to get everything at once (2 flights).

Just to show you the difference with points and SC.

MEL-SIN in J gets you 7800 points and 120 SCs.
SIN-PEN is on an A320 with 3K, and will book you into economy max. This gets you 1200 points and 20 SCs.
Total one-way is 9000 points and 140 SCs, so the laptop is correct.

Why would the mobile booking say different? Specifically per segment. It also warns that one leg won't be in actual business.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but could someone tell me if it's possible to add a point/SC earning bundle to the current JQ sale fares?

Yes, when you select your flights you can add a bundle before completing your booking, but from memory not after the booking is made.
