JetGo Delays/Cancellations

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

On Monday 15 May 2017, JG50 (1655 hours from PQQ down to MEL, E135LR VH-JZG) should arrive at 1914 hours, 34 minutes late.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

Wednesday 24 May 2017 has JG39 (VH-JGB, the1430 hours WGA - BNE that did not become airborne until 1623) likely to arrive at 1745 late this afternoon, 85 minutes tardy.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

E140LR VH-ZJG operating the relatively short 1620 hours Thursday 29 June ROK up to TSV did not take off until 1832 this evening, so arrival is estimated at 1948, 138 minutes late.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

Fog mid evening on Friday 7 July appears to be causing major problems - chaos - at BNE with many flights diverting back down to SYD of all the majors, or departing very late if they managed to get out of BNE.

While I will leave the expert commentary on fog to the meteorologists and our participating aviators, it looks like this fog may have swirled in very quickly and perhaps was unexpected in its severity as so many flights have been 'caught.' When heavy fog is forecast, it seems ATC does not give departure clearance until it has some confidence that flights may be able to get into an airport.

JG65 (E140LR VH-ZJE, the 1835 hours TMW - BNE that was airborne at 1923) looks to be diverting back to TMW where arrival should be at around 2125, compared with a timetabled BNE arrival of 1935 hours.

Monday 10 July sees JG73 (1450 hours mid afternoon OOL - ROK that did not take off until a badly delayed 1828) suggested as arriving at 1953 hours, 233 minutes tardy. Aircraft is E135LR VH-JGB.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

On Monday 17 July, JQ30 (1015 hours mid morning BNE - ABX that was airborne at 1127 hours, E140LR VH-ZJE) is estimated to arrive at 1329, 74 minutes late.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

On Sunday 23 July, JG64, the 1655 hours from BNE down to TMW did not become airborne until 1900 with E135LR VH-JGB undertaking the task. Arrival should be shortly at 2003 hours, 128 minutes later than the schedule that states 1755.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

Thursday 20 July sees an extremely long delay for JG43, the 0700 MEB (not MEL!) - DBO that did not take off until 1459. VH-ZJE is the E140LR. Arrival is expected at 1611, 471 minutes late. On a day like this, it's almost quicker (and much cheaper) to travel on NSWTraibnLink's XPT train from Melbourne and change at Cootamundra for the connecting coach when it runs (the latter coach not every day to Dubbo.)

The next sector, DBO to BNE, saw it taking off at 1634 with arrival suggested as 1737 late this afternoon instead of 1010 hours.

Many kilometres north, JG73 (1340 hours OOL - ROK, E140LR VH-ZJG) is also having a bad day with it having become airborne at 1620 hours for a predicted 1736 arrival, 96 late.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

JG30, 1005 hours morning BNE - ABX on Sunday 30 July (E135LR VH-JZG) was in the sky at 1350 this afternoon, so arrival should be at 1546, 221 minutes late. Something must have gone wrong with JG's tiny fleet this morning as the aircraft took off at 0812 from DBO for MEB, and then formed JG43, the 0700 hours MEB - DBO, taking off almost three hours late at 1010 hours before heading up to BNE.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

Wednesday 2 August sees JG39 (1430 hours mid afternoon WGA up to BNE that was airborne at 1531 with E140LR VH-ZJG) suggested as arriving at around 1703, 43 minutes tardy.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

Friday 4 August's JQ64 (1655 hours BNE - TMW that was in the sky at 1801 with E140LR VH-ZJG) is arriving at 1854 hours, 59 late.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

JetGo must be having a day this small airline might rather forget on Friday 11 August with JG42 (1040 hours morning scheduled BNE down to DBO) taking off at 1813 hours this early evening. Arrival for E135LR VH-JZG is suggested at 1926 instead of 1200 'high noon', an extraordinary 446 minutes behind schedule.

Google claims that driving this 840 kilometre GPO to Dubbo PO route would take nine hours and 15 minutes (at a fast average speed - one might need to stop for a toilet break and for lunch) but even if it was 10.5 hours it's not a lot more than a JetGo passenger would have taken today given the need to get out to the airport, check in and at the other end find one's way home or to one's accommodation. Of course hardly ever are these delays known in advance but due to its miniscule fleet JetGo lacks reliability.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

JetGo has had another terrible day with the 0700 hours morning flight on Monday 14 August from MEB up to DBO in central west NSW, JG43 (E135LR VH-JZG) becoming airborne at 1740 late this afternoon. Arrival should be at 1850 in the early evening instead of 0820 this morning, 630 minutes late.

Re: JetGo Delays/ Cancellations

Sunday 20 August 2017 has JG36 (1330 hours BNE down to WGA that was in the sky at 1403 with VH-ZJG) suggested as arriving at 1556 hours, 36 minutes tardy.

Thursday 14 September has JG42, the 1230 hours DBO down to MEB having taken off at 1230 (early!) but arrival has been delayed until 1437 hours, 47 minutes late. Aircraft is E135LR VH-JZG.

UPDATE: Later in the day, JG43 from DBO to BNE, the 1610 hours should arrive 42 late at 1812 with the above aircraft.

A week later (Thursday 21 September) the same JG42 from DBO took off early at 1230 hours (as this flight is scheduled to depart at 1230) but MEB arrival has been delayed until a projected 1432, 42 late.

One reason for JetGo's extensive delays may be its tiny fleet.

On Thursday 27 September, the 0930 hours ABX up to BNE took off at 2230, almost 13 hours late. Arrival should be at 2359 just prior to 'Cinderella time' instead of the timetabled 1130 hours. VH-ZJG is the E140LR.

As is often the case when there is an out of course operating pattern, FR24's website does not totally record what happened but it looks like a day when delays compounded, and perhaps at least once a flight was cancelled:

Flightradar24.com - Live flight tracker!

An uninspiring timekeeping record to say the least.

The evening of Monday 2 October 2017 has JG39 (1810 hours WGA up to BNE) taking off at 2139. Arrival for VH-ZJG should be at around 2203 hours, 188 minutes behind the schedule.

The Friday 20 October JG42 from BNE down to WGA (VH-ZJG) looks to be arriving at 0013 on Saturday 21, 83 minutes late.

JG38 (1510 hours mid afternoon Monday 23 October 2917 from BNE down to WGA with E140LR VH-ZJE) was airborne at 1614. Arrival looks to be at about 1900 hours, 65 minutes late.
