Tuesday 3 January 2017 sees JG42 (E140LR VH-ZJG, the 1250 from DBO to MEB) having taken off at a much delayed 1601 with arrival suggested as 1716, 186 minutes behind the schedule.

Friday 6 January 2017 has JG50, the 1655 hours from PQQ down to MEB that was airborne at 1735 predicted to arrive at about 1917 hours, 37 minutes tardy. Aircraft is VH-ZJG.

Friday 13 January sees JG43, the early morning MEB - DBO - BNE having taken off at 0750 with VH-JGB, an E135LR. It should arrive at 0903, 88 minutes late, delaying the 0805 hours timetabled continuation to BNE until at least 0925 in its DBO departure.

On Monday 16 January, the 1655 hours late afternoon flight from PQQ down to MEB (E135 VH-JGB) was airborne at 1744. Arrival is suggested as 52 minutes late at 1932.

On Monday 13 February 2017, JG31 (1535 hours from ABX up to BNE) did not become airborne until 1659; arrival of E140 VH-ZJE should be at around the 1745 hours mark, 70 minutes tardy. The 1655 hours BNE - TMW (JG64) will be delayed until at least an 1805 hours departure from the Sunshine State for the country music capital of Oz. This is one of the downsides for patrons of extremely small transport operators: there is no spare equipment (in this case a jet) to ensure that the next sector can depart punctually.

Friday 17 February has JG42, the 1250 hours early afternoon DBO - MEB not having taken off until 1429. Arrival is suggested as 1542, 92 minutes tardy.

JG31 (E140 Vh-ZJE, the 1425 hours ABX - BNE that was airborne at 1523) should arrive at roughly 1616 hours, 51 late.

This airline has a small fleet: it appears to have quite a few problems with punctuality.

JG51, the Friday 3 March 2017 1440 MEB - PQQ (E135 VH-JZG) took off late at 1530. Arrival should be at approximately 1703, 38 late.

On Sunday 5 March, JG51 (also VH-JZG), the 1440 hours MEB - PQQ took off at a much delayed 1710, so arrival is predicted 139 minutes tardy at 1849 hours.

The Monday 6 March JG42 (1005 BNE - DBO) took off very late at 1225 with E135 VH-JZG. Arrival should be 128 minutes behind schedule at 1433 this afternoon.

Sunday 19 March's JG50 from PQQ down to MEB (E135LR VH-JZG) is estimated to arrive 42 minutes behind schedule at 1922.

The 1655 hours JG64 BNE - TMW should finish its trip at 1843, 48 minutes late with E140LR VH-ZJE.

On Monday 27 March, JG51 from MEB to PQQ (E135 VH-JZG), the 1520 hours, took off at 1635. Arrival should be at around 1805, 55 minutes tardy.

On a wet Sunday 9 April in Melbourne, JG42 (E135LR VH-JZG, the 1230 DBO - MEB shoud arrive at 1624, 154 minutes behind schedule. This aircraft is recorded by FR24 at taking off at its scheduled departure time of 1230, so it may have had to return to DBO for some time on the ground. FlightAware's site is undergoing maintenance so I have not been able to pull up its map of today's flight.'

JG31 (the 1250 hours ABX - BNE that took off at a very late 1531) should arrive at 1733, 163 minutes late. Aircraft is E140LR VH-ZJG.

The Monday 10 April 2017 JG51 (VH-JZ, the 1440 hours MEB - PQQ that did not become airborne until 1703) should arrive 122 late at 1827.

On Thursday 20 April 2017, JG42, the scheduled 1040 hours from BNE down to DBO (E135LR VH-JZG) did not become airborne until a shockingly late 1552, so arrival is suggested at 1709, 309 minutes late. Had the Greyhound Australia coach company still been operating its previous Brisbane - Melbourne via Newell and Goulburn Valley Highways and briefly the Hume Freeway inland daily road coach, it would not have been much slower to take that today.

Thursday 27 April 2017 sees JG42 (VH-JZG as above), the 1040 hours BNE - DBO not having taken off until 1502 for a suggested 1611 hours arrival, 251 minutes late.

JG39 (1430 hours Friday 28 April mid afternoon WGA to BNE, E140LR VH-ZJE) did not take off until 1710 hours; arrival should be at 1852 hours, 152 minutes late.

JG's strategy to try to link smaller rural cities with large metropolitan cities on routes ignored by other airlines is a good one - for instance Wagga has an Army base - but it falls down due to the tiny fleet size and subsequent huge problems with operating on time.

Sunday 30 April has JG42 (1230 hours DBO - MEB that was in the sky at 1309) arriving at 1425, 35 minutes late.

This airline has a bad problem with punctuality. It has no spare planes should one of its tiny fleet become defective.
