Thanks very much for the TR. You certainly pocked your nose into some interesting corners and tried a wide variety of foods,

That was a great trip report, particularly interested in that onsen towards the end. Where was it exactly and I wasn't aware that people walked around in their robes at these things and ate etc. Is that usual?

Thanks for another interesting TR - I do want to spend more time in Japan

Thanks for another great report. I really enjoy reading about your wanderings. The double header certainly would have helped the time pass.

Odeo onsen Monogatari is in Odaiba.

And yes, it's almost mandatory to be wearing yukatas in onsen ryokans or resorts like this one.

Well that was different ! Thanks for the unique TR, I like your travelling style.

Walk long distances and absorb, have a fuzzy plan that involves stumbling on some gems ..and some mundane bits too.

Japan looks fascinating and is now on my travel bucket list.

On Odaiba, take the Yurikamome Line, off at Telecom Centre and about a 100m walk to the onsen. Hadn't been to an onsen previously so not sure about the walkng around in robes. Only other one i had a look at was Spa World in Osaka. Was a bit apprehensive about going to one, thinking that i would do something wrong or walk into the wrong area and offend someone. When it comes down to it though, not much can go wrong, you get starkers and put a flannel on your head.
Also a bit concerned about where your wallet and phone etc go, what you do with your locker key. All good though, they've been doing these things for a long time, everything locked up and secure. Being Japan though, probably could've just left everything sitting on a table and would've still been there at the end of the day.
