Itchy Feet Between Trips

Checking Flight Memory I think my last flight was in August (though I have a sneaking suspicion there was something a little more recent, but further checking required). I have 10 flights (all domestic) booked, and cannot wait - really itchy feet, it has to be said. I've planned out about 10 international flights in the first half of next year. I may have to return to work in order to be able to pay for them!

More then 3 days without going through an airport I start to get this strange feeling like something is missing...

It has been almost 4 years since I didn't have a yet-to-complete PNR to my name...

The best way for me to stay sane at work is to know exactly how many days till I can get away next for a break. Currently 14 days :)

Next flight in 10 days though.

Same here. Lately I've been escaping every weekend. I've got 14 bookings made between now and next April - all but one are domestic, but I'm enjoying it, seeing more of the country, and working my way up the ladder in preparation for a UK trip in April 2015.

I wish! The last few years have been very busy travel wise but due to the impending arrival of mini-gentleman next year, there are currently no future bookings :(. But I am planning a few potential options - just need to get one of them through supply!

I travel only for leisure too, and it's looking forward to the next trip that keeps me sane at work. I seem to have at least the next two trips partly booked at any one time. With only four weeks annual leave each year to play with, it doesn't take much to plan a couple of years out. I am also working on THE BIG TRIP in 2017 (12 months around the world). So while I have something to plan I am okay, but the feet always have a slight itch...

In a way I am lucky in that I have a break away from work almost every weekend.

when I look at FlightTrack and there is only 1 or 2 flights showing up in it I get twitchy to go and book more - so far this year I haven't run empty, and flying every 2nd or 3rd weekend (mine is leisure/sport travel)

I might not always have travel booked, but I'm always trying to plan the next trip.

Planning is definitely half the fun, occasionally maddening, but oh so satisfying when everything falls into place.

For me it's about 2 weeks after an o/s trip before I start actively missing being away... or 2 minutes after having another argument with SWMBO about my travel plans....

6 days til my next domestic trip, then only 19 days til O/S again! But hey, who's counting! :)

I have a constant itchy foot and itchy bum! ;)

I have my travel booked till sep next year. Of these about 10-11 of them are international.

December - Asian extravaganza, japanese trip
January - Vietnam research trip
February - return from Asia, QF AGM
March - Jakarta Armin trip
April - Singapore trip, FT japan do
May - FT ozfest
June - Singapore trip, potential Bangkok trip
July - return from Singapore
August - potential hobart trip
September - Singapore trip
October - Singapore trip
November - Singapore trip, Peking trip
December - Europe trip

I'm happy all the time I've got something booked. I don't like it when I land in CBR knowing I don't have the next trip already booked, sadly this is the norm...

I also don't like booking more than about 4 to 6 weeks out...

My feet usually start itching the moment my plane touches down in Mascot. I fly a bit for work and a fair bit for pleasure, luckily not enough to make me "get over it" if it every could happen which I'm not eve sure of.

Luckily, while I live for the airplane experience, my partner used to work in the hospitality industry but luckily got out of it alive and now loves staying in nice hotels. This combination works very well for us albeit not quite that well for our bank account- we pretty much always plan ahead for the next big holiday which usually includes plenty of 5 Star hotels and at least a business class airfare ;) But really- that's probably what best gets us through the everyday work week so it's well worth the money way beyond the actual holiday experience itself!

Generally travel once a month while London based, it's so cheap/easy to do. Sometimes when I get itchy feet though I'll book something and then upon getting to said place.. can't be bothered and would rather be home! C'est la vie!

As soon as I get home I want to go and travel again, I already look toward booking my next trip within the same month as returning!
