I had the same issue last night...

I updated the app and seems to be ok now.

I was having the same issues. Updated and all is good.

Thanks all sorted now

It would be useful if devs explained what the bug fixes were in their updates (note not a criticism of aff just app devs in general).

I have deleted the ( AFF) iPhone app. I keep getting alerts and I don't know how to turn them off

Well both my iPhone and iPad were updated and now these annoying messages/ads are cropping up at the bottom of the screen on both.
This is annoying, spoils the enoyment of using the app, think there needs to be a new bug fix.
Just notice now that these appear to be ads introduced by Google.

Settings. Notifications. Find the AFF app and toggle off.

If you don't want any notifications at all then you can toggle off at the Notifications point. I hate them.

I updated the app last night to get rid of the annoying ads, but now I am also receiving constant notifications.

I followed these directions, toggled everything off, but the notifications have been still been coming. Anything else I can try?

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Couldn't understand why I was getting them previously until I discovered my settings had been

Hope this helps

We are now displaying App ads to users who are NOT logged in. If you are a paid member, you can log-in with the App and the ads should disappear. As before, non-paying members can use the App to view AFF but will now see ads. We are doing this to protect our revenue base. Over the years the popularity of the Apps has increased exponentially and many casual users are using the Apps to view AFF. We are now displaying ads to these users. Once logged in, our GOLD and SILVER members should have the same ad-free App environment as they did before.

Please PM me if you are running the latest version of the App, are logged in and are seeing ads. This shouldn't happen!!

Notifications is an "enhancement" of the new versions :) You should be able to turn off notifications. Use Google to get the instructions for your particular device. For example, I got this result when searching for the iPhone How to Turn Off iPhone Notifications

I know how to turn off notifications. ( and my daughter works for apple support so i have in house access to support) That didn't work. So I have deleted it from my iPhone.
I suspect there is a bigger issue

Ok. Just re installed app on iPhone. When opening it I was asked if i wanted notifications. I have selected " don't allow". Hopefully that should fix my problem

So there is an over-riding notifications app within AFF that kicks in when you are not logged in?

Thanks PF, when I checked my settings again I noticed this and turned it to 'none' as well, notifications now seem to have stopped. :)

You're welcome, I'm not that tech savvy and the constant notifications were driving me batty ;)

I like being notified when someone quotes me, but can't find an option to simply keep that, and nothing else. Maybe Tapatalk is working on that? Would be nice, but otherwise I will shortly be turning it off too.
