I tend to agree that this thread should be closed.

It lowers the bar for AFF and if this was an exclusive club I dare say such posters would have been quietly asked to leave.

Think of the havoc that MACGRID played a year or two ago in here.

According to some who accumulates points from business travel and keeping them for personal use they have no monetary value and have no FBT implications, although as harvyk points out you can use points to exchange for flights and goods which can be turned to cash...

Whether or not they have no monetary value, in most cases the rewards that accrue from a consumer loyalty program have no taxation liability. See PS LA 2004/4 (GA) - Income tax and fringe benefits tax - rewards received under consumer loyalty ... (As at 14 July 2004) or your accountant for your own position.
