Is QF First lounge open Xmas Day and J lounge closures

As the title suggests is the First lounge (Melbourne) open on Xmas Day. Are usual things like spa facilities available? Also I remember a few years back J lounges closed domestically over Xmas for maintenance. Does this still occur? Thanks

Yes, the F lounge and spa are open every day in SYD and MEL. QF just opened a brand new J lounge in MEL...so would be hard to use the "closed for maintenance" excuse!

When I transited SYD on Wednesday 2 Jan at 5pm the J lounge was closed and I was directed to the QC. Hadn't been there in a few years and forgot how large and noisy it is. Jokingly asked for a cheese platter

The CBR J lounge was closed in early January. Damaged roof or floor apparently. Staff were at pains to describe actual damage. I heard a supervisor say "Platinums and Platinum ones will be the most annoyed. Make sure you explain what happened". If ever there was time to allow P1s into the Chairman's Lounge... But no.
