Should we organise another Perth meet up for some drinks in the next month or two?

For sure! I'd be interested, are there any good recommendations for spots to try?

I think perhaps some sort of bar/pub in Vic Park had been bandied about as the next option as the Royal had been done in East Perth, the last one i think was in West Perth, VP is close to the city/central, quite a few choices to choose from...

Probably be a choice of mid-late September, or October as to which dates suited the most people then just pick a Wednesday or so as no date will suit all...

Sounds good, mid week is certainly the way to go.

Perhaps pick a few days and put them in a poll ?

New places near the BHP building is pretty nice, trustee / heritage? Cheeky Sparrow? Andaluz?

I dont live anywhere near Perth but will be visiting (work unfortunately) from 6th-9th September. If anything is officially or otherwise organised for then I could come along.

Will you be trying the DJ 330 experience?

No alas, I have a mad scheme to hit QFF LTS in Oct so am paying my own way there via a JASA SYD-MEL-xPER-SYD, will be on the upper deck of the ancient 747 on the way back. The organisation I am working for in PER have a no J BFOD policy  so I figured this was much less painful

eeeeeeeeeek!

I don't blame you though. It is damned tricky juggling DJ and QF status. You almost need a PhD in it!!!!

Alas, I won't be in Perth until October, but if anything gets planned that far ahead, I am interested :)

Did you talk them into paying the 'taxes' and 'extras', e.g. move the slider all the way to the left, thereby using the minimum possible number of points??

I'd be keen in a catch up drink (given I'm fairly new here) with some fellow Perth AFF'ers.

Agree with vitagen; somewhere within the city would be nice.

Im up for anything. One drink and im anyone's lol

Well put some names of places up, i don't work in the city so don't know names of too many drinking holes...

What's parking like at 6ish or so?? Once we have a place we can also do a poll...

I'm happy with the heritage or the trustee. They are next door to each other so we can narrow it down if everyone is happy with the location. Depends on if you want French food or something else. The trustee is sslightly more bar than restaurant and heritage is vice versa and French, I feel. Parking in the city on a mid week night shouldn't be a major drama but may be a bit of a walk from a multi level if you can't snag a roadside spot.
How about Thursday 6th Sept, then PF can make it?
