I need to travel between DFW and YUL in February next year and want to book with AA if/when there is a sale on flights between these two cities. As such I was hoping to subscribe to emails from AA (the equivalent of red-emails) so that I know when there's a sale, but it appears I need to be an AAdvantage member to do so. Is there any way of getting around this?

Why not join AAdvantage (it's free) and just subscribe for emails on "American flight deals". Of course you may then discover the delights of buying AA miles with bonuses and join the rest of us flying J (or F) to Europe!

I guess you're right, it's free so I don't have anything to lose, although I intend to keep crediting flights to QFF for the time being so there's not that much to gain either.
