I need to travel between DFW and YUL in February next year and want to book with AA if/when there is a sale on flights between these two cities. As such I was hoping to subscribe to emails from AA (the equivalent of red-emails) so that I know when there's a sale, but it appears I need to be an AAdvantage member to do so. Is there any way of getting around this?

I guess you're right, it's free so I don't have anything to lose, although I intend to keep crediting flights to QFF for the time being so there's not that much to gain either.
