Seems like content including posts and PM made earlier this morning (circa 8:30am) have gone ...

... guess JohnK is referring to an "instant" email notification of a PM.

I did send one, but it appears to have disappeared (not in my sent items).

Now I've sent it again.

No it hasn't "gone". But with indexes not updating it is hard (impossible?) to access. New posts to existing threads can be easily accessed. New threads and new pms cannot (at least not for me and quite a few others I've been in touch with by email).

Now it is evening in COS I expect won't be fixed until tomorrow (at the earliest).

Yeah,

Yeah, I'll steer clear for the time being ...

No I have never used email notification on any forum.

When I log on to FT a pop-up appears when I have a new PM. Well this morning a pop-up appeared with new PM but could not find the PM anywhere on my list of PMs.

If you had email notification of PMs set then you would be able to read the PM in your email. Otherwise have to wait until FT is fixed.

FT gets fixed temporarily until the next time it breaks down, which is very often.

I now have 3 PMs that have disappeared.

I just wonder if an identical thread "Is AFF down?" would be tolerated on FT?

I didn't think so....

No need for it. AFF is very reliable.

Actually, it does happen from time to time.
Yes, there was an issue following an upgrade. But it is still very reliable when compared with FT.
