There is an excellent app called Boost Magic which totally improves the battery life of my new (now old) iphone. It changes the way it is charged. You open the app and then plug in the charger and off you go. My iphone lasts for at least two days now! I think it might even have been free?
So, my battery problems look fixed.
Basically to cut a long story short I had managed exchange for my personal email account. With the arrival of iCloud, I decided to move my mail back to my own dedicated server and put my calendars/contacts on iCloud and cancel the exchange service.
The moment I deleted my Exchange account and added the IMAP account back in, the battery stopped going down like no tomorrow.
I'm now at standby 12h11m with usage 2h9m and the battery is at 65%. That's much better!
Mine was just delivered - now waiting for the number porting process to complete.
So long, Vodafail!
When did you order it?
followed by either..
*squeals like a school girl when getting package*
or
*grumbles and moans about courier having a 'failed delivery' notification*

Ooooo, perfect place to rant.
*Run into mailroom*
Hi, I've got a package waiting for me.
"Oh Yes Liam, but it's not a parcel, just a card" *Gives Liam a Red "We missed you" Card*
Liam, oh damn. *Looks at watch* Ohhhh it's 4:30... Run to Auspost!
Runs into Auspost with Red Card and ID in hand.
"Sorry Liam, the parcel isn't in your name" It's in the name of <Insert name of the company I work for here>
Liam: Oh yes, that's the company I work for. Here's my work ID.
AusPost Person: Sorry, we only accept Government ID.
Liam: But, but, here's my government ID, it has my name, and here's my work ID proving who I work for...
Auspost: Sorry, we need government ID proving where you work?
*Liam thinking, WTF. Is there such a thing?*
Austpost: Sorry, we are closing, you'll have to get the parcel reset.
Meanwhile the parcel is sitting on the counter, how hard can it be for me to grab and run.
Yeah, to say I'm not happy is an understatement. Might just go down to Apple tomorrow and pick one up.

I've had run ins with Aus Post retail staff too .. some of them aren't the sharpest tools in the shed!
Thats an understatement; I once had trouble picking up a parcel because they couldnt find it...it had been filed under the sender's surname...
Liam, did you end up getting your phone?
I just got a 4S yesterday with Telstra but I can not access the internet or any online facilities, it just says I have no network. My plan definatly has access so I have no idea why I cant
