OK just received the QFF golf club newsletter email, promoting Bonville golf club, click the book now link. $120 green fees, then i go directly to the Bnville Golf club website to check greenfees and amazing $120. this is not a deal!!!

So please explain to me what is the point, why join, or more interestingly why join and pay money, for something any tom, dick or harry can get just calling up.

Sorry but this frustrates me, was the person responsible for this initiative even a golfer, do they know what is important to golfers at all, maybe they thought we all wanted to be a member of another club,

come on Q this should be sooooo much better

I just received an email offering 10,000 bonus points with a premium membership. I guess they are struggling to attract members.... Why do they bother with these non-flying related distractions instead of trying to sort out all the inconsistencies with the flying experience....?

I have had this discussion with them and clearly they have not listened, I suggest they do not play golf so they do not understand how it should work.

The people they are trying to tap into Golflink, already have a better deal than they are offering so why bother,
I am keen to be a part of it but give me a reason

It is simple if your a premium member you should get members guest rates at all premium clubs, not the rack rate

Someone thinks it's a brilliant idea. Some people join anything with very little research.

I got the email as well and consigned it to the electronic version of a receptacle for rubbish, because that's what I think of their offer

I don't know about everybody else, but they have plied me regularly over the past 8 weeks with offers and the number of points keep growing. I think their launch numbers are well down on expectations...

Uptake is lower than forecast for customers and participating golf courses

I don't see myself renewing at the end of my membership, but might book a round before it expires just to get some bonus points... when they get high enough!

Have to agree. I only signed up as I was offered a cheap deal after launch, but I haven't even used it once!

The staff have been good to me in sorting out my handicap though. I had one in NZ from a couple of years ago and they've taken that and scores from some rounds I've played here and set it all up in GolfLink for me.

Clearly this is fake, hmmmm, but if you need I have 300,000,000 dollars from this Nigerian ex government minister coming to my bank account ,I could probably spare the $$$$

Can any keen member (by the above there are not too many) tell me if the free membership gets you a shiny membership card or is that only for those premium members?

I keep getting emails trying to get me to join, but still don't percieve enough benefit to me. Relegated to electronic WPB

It would be useful to have a sporting club membership card, got at low cost, for Hilton MVP purposes.

Just received another GC email (I've been deleting them). They're still trying to get membership - look how much the fees have dropped and the additional sweeteners have increased - but still not enough for me to get interested...
