Hi All,
With QF announcing in February 2011 that they are increasing capacity between East/West About Qantas - Media Room - Media Releases - Wide-Body Aircraft to Target East/West Growth and offering its award winning international service - I was wondering what configuration my flight will be on QF485 departing MEL at 08.35 on the 10/04/2011? Will this flight be internationally configured? Also, will the business class lounge be serving Champers for brekkie?
Thanks!

At this stage you look like you have one of the domestic A330's

However as your flight is still some time away, things can change.

As far as I am aware, the current domestic services were remaining as is, with three flights a week being operated MEL-PER by int config A330's from 17 April. These are additional flights to those already offered.

The domestic config A330's will still be doing duty from that time anyway.

There was a period last year where QF776/777 were being operated by the 333's but that has changed now.

I believe one of the new flights you refer to would be QF773

Looking at the history of QF485, I would say expect a domestically configured 332.

Yes, I believe the int config A333 flights that Qantas refer to are the three weekday QF772/QF773 flights that have been added, but that does not happen till the week after the OP's flight.

Yes it has unfortunately - for my once-in-a-blue-moon trip to Perth I was booked on 333's and then two weeks before my departure QF removed them from the route...

Just checked and it looks like they have changed planes! A330-300 International Configuration. Fantastic!
