3K 133 SIN-PER original schedule 02:20 - 07:30

about twelve hours (!) ahead of time I get a SMS saying re-scheduled to 03:40. At boarding the captain quickly mentions reason was weather at Perth arrival. Actual arrival has light smoke haze. Am I gullible enough to accept that as a reason?

OTOH, in mid-afternoon there were a number of youngish Jetstar assistants circulating the check in area. With their help I found out that there doesn't appear to be a check in time limit as I had boarding pass and luggage tag for the above mentioned flight about 1400. An opportunity for lounge time for the QFF Golds and Plats having a chance to sample 3k flights.

Did I really want an 0230 flight - no, but I needed to be back with a 5 hour drive after arrival in Perth.

Happy wandering

Fred

I took EK recently BNE-SIN with similar departure at 2:35am. Had dinner/supper with a few Bloody Marys in the EK lounge and fast asleep at take-off. Slept quite nicely for 4-5 hours and awoke fresh for 3-4 hour transit to 3K flight in SIN.

I will take this flight again as I can work a full day and get to BKK/CNX earlier than a morning departure ex-Australia allows.

Dalays is one thing, but I would be much more worried if a flight I relied on, (JQ naughty naughty) will cancel a flight on me (again).
I now see the adage on a certain website, *(don't fly jetstar)*.
I have flown them twice without problems, but on the third one, when I really need to be back in ADL for work the next day, JQ had a last flight MEL - ADL which suited, but this got cancelled on me.
Never again will I fly (death)star.

The 3K SIN-PER flight gets delayed quite often. As long as there is some sort of visibility limiting factor present, they will delay the flight as (I was told) there isn't much diversion choices, and the A320 can't fly much further or hold for very long after getting to/near PER.
