All of them? I can't see that at IC Bali Resort. And you can still (if you really want to) book a rate with breakfast at Sanctuary Cove, even though breakfast is included in all rates... (some teething issues with bookings) :)

Not all, but this is one of them, much like Accor they have sucker rates that include breakfast at hotels that already include it!

Learn something new everyday! I wonder if I've been sucked into this one before!

So I went for a sticky beak yesterday, the hotel really has not changed that much yet. No big signs, spoke with front desk staff who were well aware of the PC/PP programs. They were not sure if Mulpha had any plans in conjunction with IHG to upgrade the hotel. Went to the restaurant, the staff are also aware of PP program and have had customers using PP cards and vouchers. The 'fireside' resturant would be the one to use your discount card at as it's more fine dining with prices to match. The pool are and lagoon pool looked good, but the tide was out a little on the lagoon pool. A christmas function was being held down at the lagoon, looked very nice. The Hyatt had a progam called club at the Hyatt which gave accom and dining discounts and pool use for about $270 a year, no plans if IC will offer this.

I am not surprised much has not changed, it will take some time going by the Adl IC changeover, although its good to see they have embraced the PP program with acceptance straight away of the dining discounts and a special that is somewhat generous as a BOGO, especially as the dates are not being enforced, the rate is very cheap.

Yes I might look at a BOGO stay shortly, the only thing is it's only about a 10min drive from home, which does not please Mrs R, but we will be making use of the dining discounts when my sister and her hubby comes over from NZ for holidays. The staff thought it might take a month or two before they are 'fully an IC', they did have the bellboy post at the door and were helping guests with baggage etc which was nice to see.

Managed to book a AMB free weekend night for very early in January (surprise, surprise) for $339 total for the 2 nights. Normal nightly rate at that time is $339 pn so I did actually get the second night free.

I remember staying a year or so back when it was Hyatt at a price of $250pn and I remember thinking back then that the place could do with an upgrade. So am starting to feel that if the place hasnt been renovated recently, $339 pn may just be a little steep.

Will have a look on the 4th Jan and update with the current condition.

The current PP offer for BOGO no cert required might be better value, and early Jan most GC hotels are around $300 a night. I have numerous bookings using the PP special at $99 a night, at that rate it will be hard to be poor value while being cheaper than my previous haunts (the former Radisson and the CP).

For the IC SC?? If so when ?

Strangely its bookable for the whole year, or was on the weekend.

I'm not a PP member. Dont know if its worth the membership fee.

So long as you sign up with a fake phone number and spend more than 4 days at a IHG hotel in Australia/NZ/Fiji a year its probably worth it, especially with the dining benefits. As has been stated in other threads, its a great program ruined by poor telemarketers!

I can see this hotel becoming a favorite, what fantastic service from the staff, couple of quirky things but for a hotel under new management for just over a week they sure have hit the ground running, will post some photos etc shortly, and the mini bar is awesome!

The infamous beach lagoon:

Sand not your style, there is always the pool:

Tip, the pool bar has reasonable snacks especially for the kids but watch out for the Ibis!

Issues to watch out for:

Ice is $5 delivered, no self serve option even with turn down.
Kids not allowed in Club during drinks.
The resort needs a good handyman as small things make the room show its age like plastering faults and paint peeling on aircon grill, furniture needs a spruce up but beds new and very comfy with pillow top.
Restaurant has limited buffet options for breakfast or dinner, if not included, a walk around the corner to the many other options in the "township" should suffice, Club breakfast is strictly cold options only.

Overall it's good value for $99 as the current PP special, and well worth it for double the price IMHO.

I know you had Junior in tow, but did you find out what the offerings were in the Club Lounge in the evening?
And as RA, could you take breakfast in the restaurant instead of the Club?

Markis, your insights and knowledge are truly second to none on SO many different topics. Thanks heaps for your constant advice!

Im looking at staying here on the weekend of 13 Jan for a wedding at the property. I was planning on booking the Queensland Suite or Homestead Suite. Would you have insight on the main difference between the two? Are the $99 rates only for entry level room types with PP membership? I'm considering if it is worth my while just to join for the weekend alone. Possibly make it a 4 day weekend to include the 4 nights for $396 plus $299 joining fee?

Missed the drinks thanks to jr, they looked good as far as food etc, not up to ADL standard though. As a RA could take breakfast in the lounge or restaurant, although got the impression that's the same for all club guests.
