IHG Hotels that recognise status

CP Heathrow
Status Gold
Booked 1 Double Bed with Sofa
Received same, higher floor

Received free drink voucher which I converted into a very nice gin and tonic which came with bowl of nuts too. 'Sleep inducing' aromatherapy oils in all rooms is a nice touch for an airport hotel.

Crowne Plaza Auckland
PC Platinum
booked King bed superior for 2 nights
got King Bed Deluxe on the 28th (top) floor
Lounge access, $8 cooked breakfast in the restaurant, 2 bottles of water, invite to management drinks in the bar, or drinks in club lounge.
Nice room with a couple of sofas and a work desk.

HI resort Alpensia

status: plat
booked: 2 rooms, 1 x all points and 1 x points + $$
actual: one room upgraded to ski field / mountain view, plate of fruits, daily newspaper

Amsterdam Crowne Plaza, upgraded two rooms and sent us Champagne, chocolates, dutch pastries, and a round of free drinks for 5 of us. Concierge told us all the spots to go to and avoid and were more than helpful.

HI Darling Harbour

Ambassador Platinum
2 x Points room booked
Upgraded to corner suite
Free Internet (wired).
Early checkin (1200).

Both rooms upgraded as above, early checkin only on one room due availability.

CP Darwin
Platinum
$164 best flex, 2 pax, Sat 13-Sun 14 Apr.
Upgrade to "harbour view room"
Though I did make the point we required 2 beds so I think that we would have received something nicer otherwise. A suite with 2 beds was available online but I don't expect a suite upgrade with PC Plat.
No other benefits, friendly front desk as always though.
If I head up to Darwin again I am sure the change of brands will give some good pluses. Noticed a lot of refurbishment work in lobby and a new exec lounge has been installed apparently.

IC Adelaide - stayed on an award night this last Sat night (QF81 excursion) upgraded from Superior to Suite - very nice.
Fruit plate, water all provided

Platinum Ambassador

IC Barclay NYC - a hotel I've stayed at a couple of times... booked an inexpensive 1 bed suite early Jan and, because no 2 bed suite was available a $75 per night refund was given... bargain!

Intercontinental Wellington

Platinum

Received nothing at all!

Not entirely uncharacteristic.

At Intercontinental Hotel properties, it is more likely that you will get something if you are an Ambassador. If you are not an Ambassador, even as a PC Platinum you can expect to get squat all.

Recent stay at Holiday Inn Orchard (Singapore) as Platinum Elite. Room wasn't quite ready so was offered 3 complementary drinks each for me and my travel buddy. A room upgrade wasn't available so complementary breakfast was offered.
Overall reasonably happy with the recognition!!

Travelled to Wellington as an platinum ambassador a few times last year and generally they gave me nothing, and I couldn't justify the cost for the extras they were giving so decided not to rejoin. Other Intercontinentals have been quite generous but Wellington have always tried to upsell lounge access, whereas all other Intercontinentals including Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide have given it complimentary. Seriously considering dropping Intercontinental Wellington from my preferred but there are no other IHG hotels in Wellington. May change to the Amora as they have always looked after me.

IIRC had same experience in IC Wellington last April
