Just like diamond status with the hh credit card from the millionaires factory 

No, not "just like". ;)

HH diamond from the millionaires factory HH CC still requires a considerable spend on top.

Received a call regarding this program today.

It costs $319 to join with all the benefits mentioned. Today's offer was $269 or 75,000 points to join. I chose to pay cash and was offered an extra $50 dining credit taking that up to $100.

The selling point was Platinum status as that almost guarantees me lounge access and breakfast in Chiang Mai, the free night with no black outs and Thailand will be included in program before end of year.

Crikey!

75,000 points is nothing to sniff at! Could be 15 PB rooms or one IC and a half.

If you buy an 'Australian' issued Membership to Dining Rewards, what benefits would be available for IHG stays in Europe & UK ??

... or, is there a Program I could buy into, given I have 16 nights next April / May ?

I received a call regarding the Dining program a few days ago but I said I wasn't interested, I should have gone on to say; get a property in Brisbane and I reconsider.

Not yet available in Europe, who knows when.

Hey thanks John K. I received an email offering only $50 off and extended membership, called today, also received $100 dining credit. Yeah

... but you can use the 'free' night at say, the IC Park Lane in London ?

The free night is usable anywhere as its loaded the same as a Chase free night, does not mean any of the other program benefits are easily transferred to another region.

From their FAQs (which don't appear to be too up-to-date in any case). My boldings......

What is IHG[SUP]®[/SUP] Dining Rewards?
A: IHG[SUP]®[/SUP] Dining Rewards is an exclusive new program offering generous benefits on dining and accommodations at participating IHG hotels across mainland China.
Is my IHG[SUP]®[/SUP] Dining Rewards membership valid at all of IHG’s hotel brands?
A: No. Members can currently redeem benefits across participating InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, and Holiday Inn Resort® hotels.
Where can I use my membership card?
A: You can currently redeem your benefits at a wide range of participating hotels across mainland China. Later in 2014, you’ll be able to use your benefits at even more participating hotels across Asia, Australasia and the Middle East.

So from that, I guess you could argue it's not worth much elsewhere just yet except for the free night. I do seem to recall a statement made that the program is envisaged to be world-wide at some point in the future. I do get annoyed at the word participating. In my book, if a hotel signs up to the benefits of being part of a world-wide chain, then they should be forced to participate in the benefits offered to guests of that world-wide chain (and that goes for all the chain hotels like Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, SPG etc).

Free night has been loaded onto my account. Looks like I can use that anywhere.

shame this is not extended to singapore HK and Indonesia then it would be worth being a member.

So I can see that the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove is listed and has a current accommodation offer of 15% of the Flexible Rate, so I guess that means they are participating.
However under dining, there is nothing mentioned at all. Do you think that this means there is no special offer for them, or that they don't participate in any discount within the program?

They participate, just don't have any specials at present given they are in peak season.

Thanks so much for that info. Sounds like a good system then if you have one large gathering anywhere with 16 friends then it has paid for itself. Maybe if you have AFF events anywhere then you need to limit each event to 16 people - just have all the different events happen to be at the same location???
