Hi JB2000 - interested to know the value of the 'generous e-voucher', if you wouldn't mind saying, please.

Hi Gonetroppo, the voucher is $50, not bad if you consider the price of a buffet plus the 25% discount you already get.

I am interested to know if anyone has used the free night yet? I have just found out I have to do some travelling early next year and want to know if the free night was simple to redeem and if so where you stayed?

Is there a contact email address for the Australian Dining Rewards team where questions can be sent to?
Hi thatsthatmattressman

I checked the old emails, couldn't find a email address, but a did find a Toll free no. 1800 226 462. (Australia & China). Hope that helps.

My understanding is that you won't be able to combine the e-voucher and the 25% discount:
member-terms | IHG

Dining Benefits
  1. 25% Off Dining and Beverage Discount. Members are eligible for a 25% discount that applies to all food and beverage items in participating restaurants and bars on an on-going basis. The Dining & Beverage Discount cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotional offers, including the Cash e-Voucher for Dining benefit described below.

Hi JB2000

I haven't used the Dining Rewards free night but my contact at IHG says it is for all intents and purposes the same as an IHG Rewards Club free night that you get when you redeem your points.

I've redeemed IHGRC points for free nights all around the world - Paris, Koh Samui, Bali, Melbourne - never had a problem with availability. I think this is a move forward from the BOGOs in PP which often (in my experience) had issues with availability.

Hope this helps.

Just got an offer for an additional 50$ voucher for dining to be taken up before sep. 30th to join the program (i was a big PP user).

Have any 'local' offers come out yet? or newsletters? Moving from 50% dining discount for two to 25% still makes this hard for me to justify despite the free night :)

But most interested in the 2 for 1's or dining discounts the old PP had ...the website (painful to use!) doesn't seem to show anything other than the 10% discounts and the 1 cert. for 25% rate ..and nothing on dining ..any thing special come yet for local offers?

If you enjoy a wine with a meal, the 25% applies to that as well. Given hotels often make the most on drinks, that seems like good inclusion, but doesn't help much if you are a non-drinker. The 25% would also seem good for larger groups (any group greater than 4 would be ahead) although not much use for a couple.

Not sure if we need a new 'Dining' program thread to separate off from PP but this page is now loading (wasn't for me yesterday though you may have seen it before).

Dining Rewards Hotel Offers | IHG

Now, if they could only make the Accommodation offers at bottom bookable via the web!

Anyone else take up the 'buy before Sep. 30Th offer and get an additional 50$ voucher?

If yes, did you actually get it. no indication from my welcome kit that it has been added to the card. wish there was a way to see how much value is attached to the card???

any insights would be welcomed...

I didn't even get such an offer. I still haven't made my mind up on this program - it certainly offers nowhere near the value of the PP program, but I guess it will still pay for itself.

I think the 'trick', is to wait a few weeks before the expiry of your current PP membership.
I'm thinking, I'll get 'the phone call / sell'. I'll say that I haven't made up my mind and defer.
THEN, I think the offers will trickle through ( maybe ) ...

Spot on Rick93

1 week before expiry and 1 month before I received a lame offer to crossover. 30 days after I expired, I was given a more generous offer if a discounted buying and a 2nd voucher to be executed pre-sep 30th.

My pack came with a note saying the one voucher was on the card already (expected) but no mention of the 2nd voucher. Hoping someone knows more about this?

And yes, I reckon if you can hold out to post expiry of PP then you will get a better offer as I did.

I received a cough survey invitation yesterday, which I did and it apparently pays me 500 points (reward was OK, survey was drivel), but in it, a question was asked about the member statements listing benefits like BOGOs......looking at the site linked to above, I can't see any BOGOs at all. Most either 15% or 25% discounts with just one at 30%.

I guess the upside is that they seem to be suggesting BOGOs will stay, but I wonder how many times we'll actually get to see them materialise?

Just a data point for everyone I recently helped my friend sign up to both Intercon Ambassador and Dining Rewards. Sure enough she is now a Platinum Ambassador. Gold for AMB and a one category upgrade for Dining Rewards.

So it's now easily possible to buy your way to Plat if you want to.

I wondered if they'd allow that or not. Only trouble is, plat is nothing much either. It certainly hasn't been able to lure me away from HH diamond.
