Hey big spender

I'm invested; I want to know if you actually receive one a week or two ahead of November 17Sure - better get on that, HSBCAU![]()
I am with them but don't have the credit card. You can apply as a "foreigner" but you would need to be a resident, demonstrate income of at least SGD$65k and be able to show your Employment Pass or S Pass - look at the "Who Can Apply" and "What You Need To Apply" sections:Hi does anyone have an account with HSBC Singapore premier?
If so what are the chances of getting a credit card as a non citizen?

I think those conditions apply for all the Singaporean HSBC cards.
I opened it through the relationship manager because I was moving there for a couple of years with work. I don't know how it would work if you are not moving there or don't have a residential address, but you should probably speak to your relationship manager in either the UK or US.Was the bank account straight forward to open? Did you go through the app to apply? I currently have US premier and credit card, home country being UK premier.
So it seems very unlikely to be accepted for the credit card based on that. I had heard about getting a secure credit card but again don't know if the rules would discount non citizens
I bank with HSBC Premier Singapore, transaction account and investments though, not credit cards. They'd need a NRIC for that, as far as I know (or that's what it asks for when trying to apply, I haven't followed it up).Hi does anyone have an account with HSBC Singapore premier?

Opening the account was easy enough, easier than in HK, where I do have a HSBC credit card.
No worries - SG was easier than HK, for info. HK asked a lot of questions about my need for it and connection to HK, so unless you specifically want/need a HK account, SG would be my recommendation (they both carry all the same currencies anyway). Thanks for the information, I will open the account soon, HK was the other location I was looking at actually!
I may have found a way to clean out those orphaned points. DM me if you want to know. The HSBC rewards website seems to only allow transfers to airline programs in multiples of 5000 points.
Is there any way around this? I am going to end up with some points orphaned.
The chat suggested spending more money to get the balance up. Wasn't going to do that
| What will happen to the HSBC Rewards Plus program |
| The HSBC Rewards Plus program will end on 30 November 2026. If you close your account before 18 November 2026, HSBC's Credit Card Rewards Plus Program Terms and Conditions apply, your membership in the Program is automatically cancelled and any points not redeemed are forfeited. If your account is not closed before 18 November, you'll have until 28 February 2027 to redeem your HSBC Rewards Plus Points for e-Gift cards or frequent flyer miles programs (where applicable). A reminder that you'll continue to earn HSBC Rewards Plus Points on eligible spend up to and including 17 November 2026. You can check your points balance on your credit card statement on the HSBC mobile app or online banking. |
New card just arrived - such idiots, they are. Valid 10/26 though 11/29I'm invested; I want to know if you actually receive one a week or two ahead of November 17
