Does anyone know how to find out whether an A332 on a SYD-PER leg is the domestic or international configuration prior to booking? Unlike Virgin you can only select stead once purchased as far as I'm aware. I have a choice of booking a more conveniently timed 73H flight home or the less convenient A332 service (in J). If it's just domestic product on the A332 I'd take the early 73H flight; if it's international product I'd probably wait the extra 2 hours :) Any help appreciated.

I'm looking at QF571 (73H) and QF583 (A332) on Sunday August 3 if that helps. Many thanks!

Expert flyer - there are several give aways to identify which 332 you are on.

FWIW, the skybed seat map on the QF site will look like this.ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1402224923.902641.jpg

Also remember that there are only 4 332's with skybeds. They are subject to change so bear that in mind.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I don't have an EF subscription so can't look up the seat map. Don't really want to pay for a refundable J ticket just to view the map! Any chance someone with access to EF could see which config QF583 is on August 3 please? Many thanks.

Best I can do now. (Domestic)

It could very easily change later.

As row 25 is the first of the middle section in Y, it's a domestic bird.

Why not? An EF subscription to look at a few seat maps is free. And much, much less hassle then buying and cancelling a ticket.

Thanks Astrosly. I do have an EF login but since I'm not a paid subscriber I haven't used it for ages - didn't realise I could access the seat maps for free. Cheers for pointing it out!

I find the seat alert not that useful on a free subscription but the seat maps are invaluable. Note though, that there is a limit to the number of seat searches you can make ... I think it was a few dozen in a short space of time such as a couple of weeks and then it prevented me making any more for at least a month! Unless I upgraded to Pro, of course.
