thadocta, does this mean you have a PPL? If so, do you fly out of BKK and with which organisation do you hire? (sorry to get off topic)
I wish it was a PPL - only a mere GFPT here. :(

Yeah, fly out of YSBK.

Mines a non-current PPL which I hope to change in the next couple of months.. I fly from Schofields Aero Club at YSBK.
So hopefully this year for amount of flying thread I'll be able to add 10 in a Warrior and 10 in an Arrow!

89 for me this year, all of which were domestic. 4 with QF, 2 with JQ  and many with DJ.

Just over 70 flights. Mostly MLB-SYD return flights on Qantas.

Should I be polite? Should I resist the urge? Nuh.......

Didn't know Qantas flew to Melbourne, Kennedy, United States. That is 9,384 miles from Sydney. I thought Kiwi Flyer did a lot of flying at ~364,550 miles. You must have flown well over 600,000 miles which sounds like a lot of time in the air.

Hmm orbited the earth every 24 days on average and distance earth to moon and half way back - yikes

At least this year will be less, but already flown more than intended due to flight cancellations and rerouting. So YTD 2006 equivalent of more than 1 orbit and on track to complete a second within the next week.

I did 26 flights last year - 10 of them on QF and the rest on DJ. :D

Not sure how many flights (well over 50), but miles flown must have easily exceeded 200,000 (an average year).

Airlines flown included UA, SQ, OS, BD, TG, SK, LO, LH, AK, FD, TR, DD, U2, FR, QF (!) and DJ. Probably forgotten a couple too.

160.

Almost half of which were MEL-SYD and then from SYD to AKL, HKG, BKK, PVG, PEK with a sprinkling of BKK-HKG, intra NZ, and PVG to elsewhere in China.

Would have been more but I've taken to using the trains in China rather than flying. The overnight sleeper between PVG & PEK is much better than flying.

My word! That's an average of 3 flights per week, which is one every second day. How do you cope?

That is a bucketload of flying.

I feel so inadequate up against all these people in here.

If you feel inadequate with 20 flights, imagine how I feel with only 11 flights.

So the leaders so far in 2005

  • Kiwi Flyer____________180
    Gaia________________160
    Mal_________________150
    flyer4703____________135
    dajop_______________128

Wonder where NM fits into the high flyers list.

OTTOMH roughly 70 flights and 90K BIS miles.

In bursts. It tends to be 6 or more one week and none the next.

This month I've done no flying yet and will only do 2 flights next week (MEL-BRI return) but then the week after I've 10 (2 relatively long between SYD-BKK and the other 8 short MEL-SYD & 2*BKK-HKG & BKK-SIN).

My flying is also in bursts. Sometimes 3 or more flights in one day. Then again I also had an extended period of no flying mid last year.

44 flights and 92,000 miles, and 3080 QF SCs flown in 2005 as follows;

12 x QF international
3 x QF domestic
5 x MH
7 x CX
9 x BA
8 x AA
