How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

Sofitel Darling Harbour is good in that regard, can use the welcome drink voucher at Champagne Bar
Welcome gift and welcome drink are 2 completely different things though.
Never have problems getting decent drinks with the welcome drink vouchers and at some hotels they will offer Diamonds better options.

The welcome gift in your room however is often only a pretty mediocre offering unless it’s a special event. It’s often the De Bortoli rubbish but have received bottles of Laurent Perrier at overseas hotels

Stayed two nights at the Pullman last weekend. I’ve read so many poor reviews for this hotel and wanted to give it a go for myself. It was ‘fine’.

The room was spacious and the bathroom super clean. Room very noisy though (tram and street noise) and no view to speak of. I had to call to ask for slippers and hand towels (and even then they just delivered more face washers?! So not a single hand towel in the room). I enjoyed the filtered water dispenser near the room (there is one on each floor).

Despite lots of mixed reviews, I really enjoyed the lounge. It was much more relaxed than the Sofitel and a beautiful room. The evening drinks and canapés were ‘meh’ but breakfast excellent. Even the coffee was decent, and I don’t turn down breakfast champagne.

Fantastic location right in the middle of main shopping area and Chinatown very close. I will return at the right $rate.

2 night stopover on the way home. Located a very convenient 7 minutes drive from the airport. The complimentary shuttle bus runs once an hour but is very straightforward. If you're arriving on a late flight and feeling a bit peckish, your only options for food in the immediate vicinity is the 7/11 down below, as there is no room service after 10pm and the restaurant has also closed by then. The hotel is directly connected to Tung Chung station and it is a 30 min trip on the MTR to city centre. I was impressed with the room. Everything had a very quality feel to it - the doors are the heaviest and thickest i've experienced in a hotel! Entering the room/bathroom each time felt like opening a vault.

The executive lounge is a great space and has outstanding views across to the airport and i got carried away watching the constant stream of 747's taking off. Between 5pm and 7pm is coughtail hour and there is a substantial offering of 4-5 hot items along with cold cuts, cheeses and deserts. Alcoholic options were limited but there's something to please everyone. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant and is a pretty standard buffet with an egg station. Not much to fault from this stay and i would definitely return.

I stayed here earlier in the year and one noteworthy thing is the lounge has alcohol (beer/wine) during all opening hours but then this is upgraded to include some spirits and sparkling between 5-7pm.
