Old fashioned excel spreadsheet stored on Google Drive.I'm interested in how people keep notes on places they want to visit or stay.
My google maps has lots of stars of places I want to visit. I also use evernote to post snippets and have a gazillion web pages bookmarked?

If all goes well I will give you some feedback on Colmar and Strasbourg later this yearSpreadsheet. Days and dates down the sheet, each day 2-3 lines and no more than 12 or so columns (visualised on a single screen). Public holidays noted.
Scope out rough program as soon as idea for trip emerges, plug in hard dates (tours etc), put in flights and links to relevant events/places. Paste in pictures of maps or relevant areas to visualise what the hell I'm supposed to be doing!

first impressions look good - thanksconfluence (by atlassian). You can get a free plan for personal use, it's incredibly good for planning and organisation.
tripit just reads the confirmation details and creates the final iterinary in one app
All interesting responses. When I read trip reports I might see a place in Spain that I'm not intending to visit in the next year or so but if I decide to go to Spain then that's something that I want to see so I need a little file of Spain things
I just email stuff to Tripit - honestly all that info is out there anyway
