How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Property: hampton by hilton futian huaqiangbei
Status: Diamond
Rate: $100 per night
Room booked: King guestroom
Received: King deluxe
Amenity: Nil
Early check-in / late check-out: 4PM utilised
Recommend: Yes.
Despite it not being 5 star this hotel is my preferred owing to its location and being only built in the last 5 years. Free breakfast offers many hot and cold options from a variety of cuisines. Hotel has a guest laundry with 4 machines, select the hot option will invoke a 90 min cycle, warm 30min. Metro is 30m away (Yannan) and not utilised by many so no crowds at peak.
thank you! was eyeing this one for July 2027 trip.
Normally stayed at huaqiangbei plaza hotel but never knew/searched if a hilton or accor existed so close to huaqiangbei

Oh, should put the Umana lxr in here.
Booked base room on points and got a top one bedroom panoramic ocean view.
This property is nice but f and b options are lacking, I feel. Small menus and they feel very repetitive through the hotel.

Humungous suite Conrad Tokyo
Actual name Deluxe King Harbour View Suite.
It’s on the top floor beside the Exec Lounge. Booked base king city.
2nd time I have had this particular upgrade, 2nd time I have trotted off to Family Mart next door to grab takeaway dinner ☺️

Did you visit the lounge? Trying to work out whether the exorbitant points cost for this hotel is worth is and lounge offerings will be a part of that equation.

Not this time but I have stayed a million times before, most recent last month and went to the lounge. The sea-urchin omelette for brekkie is yum, the evening canapés can be a bit hit and miss. Definitely not light dinner options.
Over all though I absolutely love this hotel, the staff are amazing and it’s small enough that you don’t just feel like a number.

What I didn’t mention was its proximity to Walmart, great for cheap meal options and the odd suitcase for when the shopping at huaqiangbei has been too attractive. Brought my 5th suitcase home this week. Their in room coffee is also very good.IMG_1136.jpeg

The Novotel is around 50% cheaper on Shennan Rd but access to the metro is painful with many stepped underpasses making any trip with cargo hard work without a lift in sight.

Yeah I walked past this Hilton the last time I was there in March 2025, but missed the Walmart!

I was walking to an Indian restaurant for dinner that night. Will definitely stay here next year!

Walmart will have some western options for my kids for food

Agree. Have been a heap of times and it’s a great little hotel. I rarely drink now and tend to eat out rather than in lounge, but they do have a good range of mid-high end drinks and a variety of food options.

Waldorf Astoria on the abundant place a status token on your table at bfast - I have never seen these anywhere b4 - do I need to get out more?
Quite common at various hotel chains, Hilton Narita, Doubletree coughet, Millennium Hilton Bangkok, Hilton Mallorca, Hilton Gyoungju and the Petaling Jaya Hilton & Novotel Shenzhen use them, while some might find it tacky it’s a good way to designate the customer status to staff re the differing inclusions status comes with, ie Coffee tax

I have seen them over the last several years at Hilton Garden Inns and the like in Thailand and Malaysia ... nothing so fancy as those @Cruiser Elite posted ...

When we were at Conrad Osaka years ago, they put an origami swan on your breakfast table. Hey, even Haidilao hot pot put something on your table signifying your membership tier!

We had them at Conrad Bali 2yrs ago.
1 day the staff put a gold sign out instead of diamond 1 morning at breakfast and when they realised, it was a thousand apologies lol, I tried to say I didn't care either way haha
