Just thought I'd create a thread for this - looking back over the last year, I thought I'd done a thread here as well as on Priority Club.

I'm going to finish 4 nights short of diamond. Devastating as I had around 15 nights stayed as a group booking, so didn't qualify for nights.....

With generous upgrades, no coffee tax, nice EL spread (inc. fresh oysters on Tue, fresh prawns on Thu), HSW now stands as one of the best in Australia for HH Golds and Diamonds and should be celebrated and supported. Well done to their management. :D

Mega-sized prawns tonight, so huge, only 2 could fit on a plate.

They must have had a change of heart, or management. I haven't stayed with them in about a year and my last stay I had to argue an upgrade out of them. I suspect, based upon other reports, that the 'no coffee tax' might be an unofficial diamond benefit. Still, I like the hotel and would stay again if I could find decent pricing (!) They've really cashed in on the HoTP closing.

My 25th stay this year at Sydney Hilton and besides the usual upgrade (given without request) I received these...IMG_2380.jpg

Now...Who do I have to suck up to, to score one of those luggage tags..:)
Only joking of course, but congratulations on the achievement!

I wonder how many stays for an autographed photo of General Manager Ronald van Weezel?

The 25 stay in a year gift prompted me to count my stays at Parmelia Hilton this year. 23 stays year to date with 1 more to go so will fall one short. Would have been interesting to see if they would have acknowledged it in any way.

Not complaining - they do look after me very well each time with upgrades and service.

I was going to post something similar, but then I thought nope! My most popular Hilton does look after me very well (embarrassingly so at times) and that warm recognition is great.

I will say to emef though..........well done! That's an achievement for H-SYD. I'll also say to DC3, waking up to that photo on the bedside table would be enough to end a fabulous relationship! ;) (sorry Ronald.......only kidding, please don't take away my barrister coffee again)

Congrats! The tag is really useful if you tend to leave your bags with the concierge -I ended up with 2 of these and love them. Not because I stayed 2 x25 this year but they reassigned a different room when I checked in and the guest in my original room ate the choc but returned the tag when they checked out. :p Also, this is a HSYD special, I think HSW may adopt it soon as they took photos of my tag to show their management. Told them they could only copy it if the first tag has my name on it!;)

That sounds fair and reasonable!

I think those luggage tags are a great idea. How is the name put on the tag. It looks printed, but is it like a Letraset name or printed or dymo or what? Does it look like it'll come off in the first shower of rain or flight, or something that's reasonably permanent?

It won't come off. According to my engineering other half, the lettering is achieved through acid etching on aluminium. Rolled formed on 2 thick pieces of aluminium so it's quite hardy. Sure looks more classy than the QF coasters :p
