In all honesty, all the exec rooms are pretty much the same. Just decide which view you want, city or inlet. Both views are nice, city if you want to see a bit of action (mainly flying fox action), the inlet side if you want a bit of privacy with a view of serenity!

I have Mrs Sbv72 and Miss Sbv72 staying also. Should I get Double Double or King with roll away?

I'd go double double. The rooms are nice but not overly large and with the double double they don't have the desk and arm chair/footrest (which is not overly comfortable in any case) IIRC, which gives more room IMHO. In my experience they don't tend to charge for a rollaway for 9th floor guests, but a bit more cramped!

Property: Hilton Sydney
Date: early May
Status: Diamond
Booked: Hilton Twin
Received: King suite with rollaway

My first stay in Sydney for a while, so I was interested to see what I would be offered, particularly after recent upgrades. At check in I asked if a suite was available, and was told no twins. I expressed a little disappointment and asked if a corner room was possible. He went back to the computer and I was offered a king suite with a rollaway. I decided to risk it. The bed was set up whilst we were in the lounge, and after a couple of glasses of wine, my friend was happy to sleep in it. ;) She commented the next morning that it was very comfortable.

We had breakfast in Glass, and I had an omelette made to order, and my friend had to build her own eggs benedict. We were offered coffee, so we each ordered one. There was no mention of a charge. On checkout, there was a charge for the coffee, but after I made it very clear that this was not stated when we ordered them, it was reversed.

So all up, 8/10 I reckon.

I will be returning.

Some very large, firm but very flavoursome king prawn in the HSW lounge tonight .........Lounge was busy with a lot of people clearly grabbing a drink and bit to eat before heading of to the M.C.G. tonight.

Tidy relaxation suite upgrade for our long weekend gratefully accepted.

Has "prawngate" moved from HSYD to HSW now?:D
I will be there Sun, could do a mini lounge gathering if you're around then. Think Princess Fiona will be there as well this weekend?

Prawngate has indeed moved south .......but like SYD ......one big bowl but once they are gone ....... they are gone ........

Out of here 2pm Sunday ........Pretty cold with strong winds here right now

Yes....I was being flippant, but the water view, marina end is also a suite! ;)

Hey hey .......930 .....top floor ,,,,, corner suite ........ first you try and steel the Merc upgrades and now your taking my favourite Cairns Hilton room ............Next time your looking at the boats in the marina at night from 930 cast your eyes to the top floor of the 'Harbour Lights' apartment building across the road ..........on one occasion earlier this year I noticed what appeared to be an open call audition taking place for a nude version of a new Cirque du Soleil production.........

Ha! Merc upgrades at Europcar CNS! That seems to happen with everyone bar me so you have no competition there my friend (unless your desired upgrade is a Nissan Micra).

As for the Harbour Lights burlesque show, all I can say is that I always miss out! My preference is for the senenity of the inlet views rather than the bawdiness of the Harbour Lights view! ;) Such is life!

Loved this room on the 14th floor - curved floor to ceiling window with a fantastic view over the beach.

I agree totally. IMHO, the relaxation rooms are far nicer than the relaxation suites.

First time suite upgrade, absolutely loved it. Hope this stay will break the upgrade drought for me at HSW. Clivem, I might have to reopen "Prawngate" at HSW. No prawns in sight yesterday and today.
:( Will re-verify its existence this Thu.;)
