I purchased some vouchers during the latest DSC promotion which I think I have now used but can't find a way on the QF website to work out if there are any outstanding. Does anyone have a way of doing this?

I dont believe so or know of a way. Technically as gifts you shouldnt need to know if your recipient used it or not.
They arent linked to a QFF.

My vouchers came from the email address [email protected] with a subject of "Your Qantas gift voucher for MR SDTRAVEL" if that helps you search your inbox.

Thanks - I have checked but I have purchased about 10 of them and I just want to do an OCD check that I've used them all. I'm sure they used to appear in MMB - just been in an online chat with Qantas for nearly 50 minutes and they have NFI and say they are unable to track them

They will only appear in MMB if you have your frequent flyer number against them. This is not always the case.

I write down all PNR's by hand once the confirmation screen appears as there have been cases where an email was not received.

I did have my FF but after nearly an hour Qantas says they can not track them at all so I'll just have to trawl through my emails again. Next time there will be an excel spreadsheet!!

I had a situation with a cancelled booking originally made with a voucher where for some reason a new PNR was generated - I had received no advice.

It took them about two weeks to trawl though all their bookings to find the new PNR code. But that was 2½ years ago under a different "Loyalty" team.

I'm pretty certain mine have never appeared in MMB (and they always have my QFF number), except I think residual value vouchers do.

I've bought many vouchers over the years but can only recall ever seeing vouchers in MMB a handful of times.

Same. Despite always adding my QFF number during the voucher creation process, they never show up in MMB after. I always have to call up and get them to add manually.

That is because when you buy a voucher you supply details of two parties:
- the purchaser, of which the QFF number is attached to this person for the purpose of points when on offer.
- the passenger(s), of which you are not asked to supply the QFF number for (only name(s) and recipient email).

The voucher is owned by the passenger(s) who are unable to add QFF details until they redeem it for a flight or a QF service agent does it in the system for them. Even if the purchaser and the passenger are the same the voucher issue process doesn't care.

Residual vouchers do show up in MMB because they issue to the passenger(s) and not the purchaser and so already have the QFF details attached from the booking that redeemed the original voucher.

In the early days, you could go to the AY website and add your FF number to a voucher ... ;)

re vouchers - when you add the FF# to the voucher purchase process, that's the FF# of the buyer and only really relevant (to us, prob not QF) if they have a bonus promotion on (as in the past).

You don't get an opportunity to add the FF# to the recipient voucher PNR until flights are booked (because you can't do the old AY trick as above).

Re tracking... like others I have a document I keep with the expiry dates and voucher PNR's and value so I know what is due when and can plan

However I suspect since vouchers are just regular PNRs in Amadeus that a QF agent could locate them on a name search. Might take time, but tI don't see why they couldn't, assuming one put their own recipient name into the voucher when purchased.

I don't buy gift vouchers for anyone else - only for myself when they were on the DSC promotion so they were all in my name.

That explains it, thanks.

Likewise.
