We'll that's lifting the pressure on the plonk appreciation side :)
I'm along for the ride - while I've enjoyed the odd gin in the past I'm not a huge gin fan. I want to support any AFFer organising something in Tassie if I can.

The main place I'm keen to get to is Pooleys to try one of their recent releases.

Somehow I ended up buying these - so hopefully I will discover the best way to enjoy them

Is the dinner Saturday night likely to be BYO?
Should I bring something with me?

As to dinner, most restaurants are not BYO in Hobart from my experience. @RooFlyer any thoughts on a venue? Central city? Waterfront? North Hobart strip?

Gah. I’m from out if town and probably the worst person to ask. Somewhere Salamanca or Elizabeth St Pier. Muir’s downstairs?

BTW I won’t be at dinner, sorry

No worries

I’m staying at the Travellodge so my vote would be somewhere within walking distance from there - but will catch a taxi if that’s no good for the majority - not sure where everyone else will be?

After a big day of tastings I would be happy with a pub meal or Asian/Indian etc

@Tassieoptom No way I could possibly be organised this early... I did mention this event to someone last night over a beer though Let me check my movements and will advise

If i can get to a bank and open a special account tomorrow morning then i will post details of account to pay the money into. But am really happy to be paid on the day if it is easier. I have already paid the bus in full, so will wear the cost if numbers too small. Have enjoyed arranging things and did a trial run the other weekend. So no dramas.

Hi all, I may be in Hobart on Saturday and be able to make the trip. Not sure if I will be able to make dinner though. Will confirm later in the week. Cheers.
