Anyone else having trouble with seat selection?
I can log on OK, manage my booking but when I select change seats it just takes back to the top of the page.

Yup. Had that very same issue yesterday. Did you try doing this immediately after booking? If so, try again in a few minutes.
 
Hey Qantas, why is it that... I haven't got my new QFF card for my new status? It's been two weeks since I went up to Gold and my new card hasn't arrived.

Or do they only send a new card at the end of your QFF year (last year changing status happened right at the end of my QFF year)? Getting anxious as I'm moving out of the country for a bit and want the new card...

Two weeks with Australia Post delivery isn't long enough. Your status will be on your boarding pass so just show that. And in your profile online and on the app.

Dude, Chillax...all is fine.

Mine about same time as yours, turned up today...so not long to wait.

But, be fore warned...tis just a chipped Velocity Wallet Card n brochures...

Will have to wait ...if you end up qualifying to get the Bag Tags and lol...coveted stainless wire bag tag cable connector...though it makes a cracking Key ring thingo

No stressing here!. Just wanted to know how/when it usually works. I know the card is no big deal (hence the not creating a whole new thread for the petty issue!), but I would rather have it next week than in two years time when I'm next in the country :)

Took about a month for me to get one.

I tried this monrning on my ipad to change from 11C to hopefully row 4 and it didn't work. Tried on the mobile and after about 10 tries, I finally got on and got row 4. Pretty annoying.

Nope. I booked weeks ago. It's T72 and I wanted to try and move closer than my original 11C. Very frustrating.

Bear in mind there has been an Amadeus outage this morning, which probably hasn't helped your case.
 
Across the top of the QF website there's now an error message saying there is a technical issue preventing access to new and existing flight bookings which they are working on......

It mustn't have affected everyone as I was able to check my bookings.

Yes they were down and so was the call centre. When down just as I entered credit card and hit enter to pay for F FF flights!

Spoke to platinum call centre this arvo and they said the ransomware virus had caused them issues. But they came back around 1-2 ish.

May not have been their systems directly (surely they have patched their OSS by now) but may have been some international systems they were linked to were shut down temporarily as prevention of virus spread.

Ps: saved some $11000+ and used 380K points and $1200 for two F reward tickets to BNE-GLA. But of a bugger that we have to fly on the 777 flight instead of a 380. On has to make sacrifices at times.

Very likely Amadeus issues that were the problem. Amadeus carriers had issues during the day today

OTT: Being in IT for over 20 years, I find it difficult to understand how and why the recent randsomware virus affected so many companies.

Then I read that the new £3.5B aircraft carrier in the UK runs on Windows XP. But then many of the US nuclear missile silos still run using 5.25 floppy disks. But I suppose they can't be hacked easily!

Then some on this forum still use XP and Visa I read...

Yes it's not true. Just corporate spin. I'm extremely pissed off that MrsTMA travelling by herself got SFA from QF on an F ticket, no assistance at LHR, not even help with luggage off the carousel, one of the things QF promised on the phone. We have one more QF F back to LHR in October then the game's over for QF as FM has said above.

Fortunately my TA advised that the only reliable way to get assistance is to book a wheelchair even if the pax can walk. I've done this for myself (RTW Bulgaria Air were the outstanding best) and for a senior relative. Overkill in one way but ensured the assistance needed actually happened.
